dc.description.abstract | This thesis is entitled „An Analysis of the Main Characters‟ Personality Aggressiveness as in the Vladimir Nabokov‟s Lolita. Aggressiveness is related to human emotions that tend to hurt not only the victim's feelings but also physical. Aggressiveness arises because of diverse aspects of both culture that are believed to have the value of character formation and the ability of the person to respond to the values he believes. In this thesis the personality aggressiveness of the main character is expected to Humbert who loves his stepdaughter rather than the child's mother as his wife. The lack of understanding of the value and sense of subordination from Lolita as a child surrender and surrender to the aggressiveness of the father who is also his lover. The analytical method used is the text approach by interpreting data in the form of selected quotes and then grouped according to the literary psychology approach specifically about personality aggressiveness. Aggressiveness can arise because of cultural and educational influences in the family and the environmental influences that shape a person's character cannot control his emotions. Finally, the method used in this thesis is a descriptive qualitative approach | en_US |
