    Alat Rotary Dryer Tipe Hybrid Termodifikasi untuk Pengeringan Gabah dengan Energi Biomassa Sekam Padi dan Tempurung Kelapa

    Abstract
    Hybrid type of grain drying rotary tool is a tool for drying grain by burning the biomass energy of rice husks and coconut shells. This study aims to use a modified hybird type rotary instrument and to obtain grain drying temperature. The results of the study get the value of heat for grain with a combination of heat temperature and rice husk fuel produces room temperature 46.40oC. Heat exchanger room temperature below 38.16oC. Drying room temperature 58.97oC. Drying time 3 hours.Water activity 0.26%. The yield of whole rice was 92%. Grain dried with combined temperature heating fuel and coconut shell fuel produces a heat exchanger chamber temperature above 92.93oC. Heat exchanger chamber temperature below 73.49 0C dried room 77.33 oC. Dried time 3 hours. Final water content 9.27% wb. Water activity 0.20%. The yield of whole rice was 87%. This type of rotary dried was suitable because it had a net present value of IDR 55.741.676. This coconut shell organic biomass was feasible to use because of 0.20% water activity.
     
    Alat rotari pengeringan gabah tipe hybrid merupakan suatu alat pengeringan gabah dengan pembakaran energi biomassa sekam padi dan tempurung kelapa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memodifikasi alat rotary tipe hybird dan untuk memperoleh suhu pengeringan gabah. Hasil dari penelitian mendapatkan nilai suhu panas pengeringan gabah dengan bahan energi suhu kombinasi pemanas dan pembakaran bahan organik sekam padi menghasilkan suhu ruang penukar panas atas 46,400C, suhu ruang penukar panas bawah 38,16oC,suhu ruang pengering 58,97oC, Lama pengeringan 3 jam,aktivitas air 0,26%. Hasil beras utuh 92%. Pengeringan gabah dengan bahan energi suhu kombinasi pemanas dan pembakaran bahan organik tempurung kelapa menghasilkan suhu ruang penukar panas atas 92,93oC, suhu ruang penukar panas bawah 73,49 oC suhu ruang pengering 77,33 oC, Lama pengeringan 3 jam, kadar air akhir 9,27% bb, aktivitas air 0,20%. Hasil beras utuh 87%. Alat pengering rotary dryer tipe hybrid ini layak digunakan karena memiliki nilai net present value sebesar Rupiah 55.741.676. Biomassa organik tempurung kelapa ini layak digunakkan karena aktivitas air 0,20%.
