    Perhitungan Dispersi Fonon Cu menggunakan Metode DFT dan Teknik Hamburan Neutron Inelastik

    Abstract
    Phonon dispersion can be calculated with many methods, for example is using the computational method of Density Functional Theory (DFT) and experimental method such as the scattering of inelastic neutron. This research discuss about difference of dispersion curve which is solved by the both method with using a sample of monocrystal Cu. This monocrystal lattice plane are 100, 110 and 110 in Transversal and Longitudinal vector. This experiment conclude that the phonon dispersion’s curve from DFT method can implemented with software Quantum Espresso and Inelastic Scattering method by using Neutron Triple Axis Spectrometer (TAS) is almost coinciding. The difference between these result caused by parameter of DFT method such as pseudopotential and exchange correlation.
     
    Perhitungan dispersi fonon dapat dilakukan dengan banyak cara, diantaranya adalah dengan menggunakan metode komputasi Density Functional Theory (DFT) dan menggunakan teknik ekpserimen, yakni teknik hamburan neutron inelastis. Penelitian ini membahas tentang perbedaan kurva dispersi yang dihasilkan oleh kedua teknik tersebut dengan sampel berupa Tembaga kristal tunggal yang bidang Braggnya adalah 100, 110 dan 111 arah Transversal dan Longitudinal. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa metode DFT yang diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan software Quantum Espresso menghasilkan kurva yang hampir berhimpit dengan kurva dispersi fonon yang dihasilkan oleh metode eksperimen teknik hamburan inelastic dengan alat neutron Triple Axis Spectrometer (TAS). Perbedaan hasil ini disebabkan oleh parameter parameter pada metode DFT, seperti pseudopotensial dan exchange correlation.
