dc.description.abstract | Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is caused by dengue virus which enters human blood vessel through the bites of mosquito from genus aedes type such as aedes albovictus. It can appear throughout the year and can attack all age-groups, and it is related to environmental conditions and people’s behaviour. DHF number of cases in the region of Medan Johor health service parentheses Year prayer time Puskesmas Medan Johor increased DBD CASE. DHF eradication program conducted by Medan Johor health service center include Fogging, mosquito nest eradication (PSN), abatisasi, larva Periodic Inspection (PJB), and socialization.
This study is a qualitative study aimed to analyze the implementation of the dengue eradication program in Medan Johor health service district of Medan Johor. The data collection is done by in-depth interviews. The data were analyzed descriptively and presented in narrative form.
The results showed that the implementation of the dengue eradication program is not maximized. This is due to limited human resources and lack of training of the personnel, the lack of public awareness of their parties are not responsible for the sale of abate powder, as well as the lack of supervision of other related parties.
From the results of research conducted expected health authorities to supervise the officers fogging and activities that have been implemented, it is expected that the health centers to carry out supervision of cadres jumantik and provision of abate powder to the community, it is expected the public to participate in follow counseling, mosquito eradication (PSN) and mutual assistance. | en_US |
