Directive Speech Acts in Jumanji - The Next Level Movie: A Pragmatic Analysis

Abstract

This thesis entitled Directive Speech Acts In Jumanji – The Next Level Movie: A Pragmatic Analysis gives a brief about the kinds and the function of Directive Speech Acts. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the kinds of Directive Speech Acts and the Function of Directive Speech Acts. The method of the research used in this thesis was a descriptive qualitative method. The result of this research shows that there are 9 kinds of Directive Speech Acts found in three types form of the main character and 3 functions Directive Speech Acts found in the main character. This research is expected to provide deeper insights to the reader about Pragmatic specially to analyze Directive Speech Acts.

Skripsi yang berjudul Directive Speech Acts In Jumanji – The Next Level Movie : A Pragmatic Analysis membahas tentang Jenis-jenis dan Fungsi dari Directive Speech Acts. Tujuan skripsi ini adalah untuk menelaah jenis-jenis Directive Speech Acts dan fungsi dari Directive Speech Acts. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 9 jenis Directive Speech Acts yang di temukan dalam 3 macam bentuk pada karakter utama dan 3 fungsi Directive Speech Acts yang di temukan pada karakter utama. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberi wawasan kepada pembaca tentang Pragmatic khususnya dalam menganalisa Directive Speech Acts.
