    Abstract
    This thesis is entitled “The Effectiveness of Using Learn Social Online Platform Toward Speaking Skills of English Literature 2018 Students Universitas Sumatera Utara”. This thesis discusses about the effectiveness of the Learn Social online platform on the speaking skills of English Literature 2018 students University of Sumatera Utara. The purpose of this thesis is to know the Learn Social online platform is effective in improving the speaking skills of students of English Literature 2018, University of Sumatera Utara. The method used in this thesis is qualitative descriptive method and indicators used in determining the effectiveness by Slavin. The results of this study indicate that the Learn Social online platform is quite effective on students’ speaking skills. This can be seen through the results of the questionnaires that was distributed to respondents, English Literature 2018 studsents, University of Sumatera Utara. Four indicators are instruction (not effective), appropriate level of instruction (effective), incentive (effective), and time (effective).
     
    Skripsi ini berjudul “The Effectiveness of Using Learn Social Online Platform Toward Speaking Skills of English Literature 2018 Students Universitas Sumatera Utara”. Skripsi ini membahas mengenai keefektifan Learn Social online platform terhadap kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa Sastra Inggris 2018 Universitas Sumatera Utara. Tujuan skripsi ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah Learn Social online platform efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa Sastra Inggris 2018 Universitas Sumatera Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dan indikator yang digunakan dalam menentukan keefektifan oleh Slavin. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Learn Social online platform cukup efektif terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat melalui hasil kuesioner yang telah di bagikan kepada responden yaitu, mahasiswa Sastra Inggris 2018 Universitas Sumatera Utara. Pada keempat indikator tersebut yaitu, instruction (tidak efektif), appropriate level of instruction (efektif), incentive (efektif), dan time (efektif).
