dc.description.abstract | This study attempts to measure the students' abilities in writing through online
language learning platform. This study was conducted by using library research in
collecting students' work. The subject of the research was new students who got
TOEFL top score in English Department USU consisting of 19 students. The research
was conducted by explaining the process of students' assessment and measure the
result of their score writing skills. The instruments of collecting data were the students'
writing e-portfolio as the quantitative and qualitative data. Based on the assessment
process, the used of online learning platform was very helpful, effective, and efficient
both for the teachers and the students. Based on the content aspect, the mean of
students' score was 25.7. Based on the organization aspect, the mean of students' score
was 18.1. Based on the vocabulary aspect, the mean of students' score was 18.3. Based
on the language use aspect, the mean of students' score was 19.7. Based on the
mechanics aspect, the mean of students' score was 4.3. The result of the research
showed that the students experienced mostly in excellent to very good level. | en_US |
