Penentuan Kadar Sulfur Dioksida (SO2) Di Udara Menggunakan Pereaksi Pararosanilin Dengan Spektrofotometer UV

Abstract

It has been done for determination of sulfur dioxide in sample of ambient air from UPT Air Laboratory DLH North Sumatera with pararosaniline method by using spectrophotometer UV-Visible at a wavelength of 550 nm. From the data obtained concentration of sulfur dioxide in the sample i, ii, and iii is 0,1886 ppm, 0,4323 ppm, and 0,7283 ppm. Based on the Decision from the Minister of Health No. 19-7119.7-2005 on 2005 the standard quality of sulfur dioxide is 2 ppm, so the sampel of ambient air is not contaminated.

Telah dilakukan penentuan kadar Sulfur Dioksida dalam sampel udara ambien yang berasal dari UPT Laboratorium Udara Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Sumatera Utara dengan metode pararosanilin menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Visibel pada panjang gelombang 550 nm. Dari data yang diperoleh konsentrasi Sulfur Dioksida pada sampel i, ii, dan iii, masing-masing sebesar 0,1886 ppm, 0,4323 ppm, dan 0,7283 ppm. Berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan No.19-7119.7-2005 pada tahun 2005 dimana kadar sulfur dioksida pada Baku Mutu Udara Ambien adalah 2 ppm, maka sampel udara ambien tersebut dikatakan belum tercemar.
