    Abstract
    An Analysis of Male and Female Diction in Joe Biden‟s and Kamala Harris‟s Victory Speeches is the title of this thesis. This study contains a study of diction analysis used by male and female in the same situation, in this case examining the victory speeches of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Semantically, the speech is examined to examine whether there are differences in the diction used by male and female in certain situations. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. From the analysis conducted, it was found that in Joe Biden‟s speech, 24 data were in accordance with the research criteria. With the connotation of being the type of diction that is most widely used by him. The language characteristics found by male in this study underwent changes and adjustments because the context was a monologue in the form of speech and not dialogue. Similarly, in Kamala Harris‟s speech, 26 data were found that matched the research criteria and the female speeches is adjusted.
     
    An Analysis of Male and Female Diction in Joe Biden‟s and Kamala Harris‟s Victory Speeches merupakan judul tesis ini. Penelitian ini berisi kajian tentang analisis diksi yang digunakan oleh pria dan wanita dalam situasi yang sama, dalam hal ini mengkaji pidato kemenangan Joe Biden dan Kamala Harris. Secara semantik, pidato tersebut dikaji untuk meneliti apakah terdapat perbedaan diksi yang digunakan oleh pria dan wanita dalam situasi tertentu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deksriptif kualitatif. Dari analisis yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa dalam pidato Joe Biden, 24 data yang sesuai dengan kriteria penelitian. Dengan konotasi menjadi jenis diksi yang paling banyak digunakan olehnya. Ciri bahasa oleh laki-laki yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini mengalami perubahan dan penyesuaian karena konteksnya adalah monolog berupa pidato dan bukan dialog. Demikian pula dalam pidato Kamala Harris ditemukan 26 data yang sesuai dengan kriteria penelitian dan tuturan perempuan yang mengalami penyesuaian.
