dc.description.abstractThis thesis is entitled “Naturalism As Potrayed in Nawal El Saadawi’s Novel Woman at Point Zero and Stephen Crane’s Novel Maggie, A Girl of the Street: A Comparative Literature Analysis” is about comparing motif that is, the control of environment on woman as potrayed in the two novels as a part of naturalism. The theory used is comparative literature theory and the concept of naturalism. The purpose of this thesis is to know kinds of environment that control women in the novel. It is found out that environments in Woman at Point Zeroare poverty, lack of education, and patriarchal. While environments in Maggie, A Girl of the Street are poverty, lack of education, and boy friend. This difference is the result of the different of cultural and social period and background.en_US
dc.description.abstractSkripsi ini berjudul, “Naturalism As Potrayed in Nawal El Saadawi’s Novel Woman at Point Zero and Stephen Crane’s Novel Maggie, A Girl of the Street: A Comparative Literature Analysis”yang merupakan suatu analisis mengenai perbandingan motif yaitu, wanita yang dikontrol oleh lingkungan yang terdapat dalam kedua novel sebagai bagian dari naturalisme. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori sastra bandingan dan konsep naturalisme.Tujuan dari skripsi ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis lingkungan yang mengontrol wanita dalam novel. Hal tersebut ditemukan bahwa lingkungan dalam Woman at Point Zeroadalah kemiskinan, kekurangan pendidikan, patriahan, dan budaya.Sedangkan dalam Maggie, A Girl of the Street adalah kemiskinan, kekurangan pendidikan, teman laki-laki, dan masa sosial.en_US
