dc.description.abstract | A fabrication and characterization on papers made from hyacinth pulp have been performed using a chemical method. Process of making samples was done with 2.5 % soda varying with 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 minutes. All samples then were weighted, pulverized, re-dried to obtain the hyacinth pulps. The physical properties were also characterized such as ratio of pulp composition, thickness, specifie mass, gramatur, flexibility test, tear strength, surface morphology using SEM and metal consentration with AAS. Based on the results, it was found that the composition ratio was 22 %, gramatur was 32 gr/m2, flexsibility was 122.58 N/m2, tear strength was 243,53 mN. The most metal concentration was found in hyacinth taken from Martubung marsh, Pb =19 ppm, Cu = 15 ppm, and Zn = 150 ppm. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Penelitian tentang pembuatan dan karakterisasi kertas yang dibuat dari eceng gondok telah dilakukan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kimia. Proses pembuatan sampel dilakukan dengan proses soda 2,5 % dengan variasi waktu penghalusan 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 menit. Kemudian ditimbang, dihaluskan, dikeringkan kembali untuk memperoleh kertas. Pengujian sifat fisis yang dilakukan adalah menghitung rendemen pulp, mengukur tebal kertas, menghitung massa dan gramatur, mlakukan uji tarik dan kuat sobek, mikrostruktur permukaan dengan SEM dan kandungan logam dengan AAS. Berdasarkan pengujian sifat fisis yang dilakukan diperoleh rendemen pulp rata-rata 22 %, gramatur terbaik adalah 32 gr/m2, kuat tarik terbesar adalah 122,58 N/m2, kuat sobek terbesar adalah 243,530 mN. Kandungan logam terbanyak diperoleh pada eceng gondok yang berasal dari rawa Martubung, Pb = 19 ppm, Cu = 15 ppm, dan Zn = 150 ppm. | en_US |
