Penelitian tentang pembuatan dan karakterisasi kertas yang dibuat dari campuran pulp batang kelapa sawit dan pulp kantong semen bekas telah dilakukan. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan dengan metode proses soda, bertujuan untuk memperoleh alternatif bahan baku kertas campuran, dari pulp batang kelapa sawit dan kantong semen bekas. Untuk campuran 0% pulp batang kelapa sawit dan 100% pulpkantong semen bekas,diperoleh contoh kertas yang mempunyai gramatur rata rata 103,63 gr/m, kerapatan massa rata rata 414,44 kg/m, kuat tarik rata rata 32,69 x 105N/ m2, kekuatansobek rata rata 5399,62 mN. Untuk campuran 100% pulp batang kelapa sawit dan 0% pulp kantong semen bekas, diperoleh contoh kertas yang mempunyai gramatur rata rata 121,25 gr/m2, kerapatan massa rata rata 759,13 kg/m3, kuat tarik rata rata 118.28 x 10 N/ m, kekuatan sobek rata rata 2088,36 mN. 2352 Untuk gramatur yang optimum yaitu campuran 70% pulp batang kelapa sawit dan 30% pulp kantong semen bekas, diperoleh contoh kertas yang mempunyai gramatur rata rata 123,75 gr/m, kerapatan massa rata rata 599,47 kg/m, kuat tarik rata rata 103,84 x10 N/ m, kekuatan sobek rata rata 2017,89 mN. 2352

The research of forming and characteristic of paper which is made of mixture of palm oil stems pulp and cemen't bag trace pulp has been conducted. Research with caustic process method aim to obtain, mixture paper raw material alternates mix of palm oil stems and cemen't bag trace. For mixture 0 % palm oil stems pulp and 100% pulp of cemen't bag trace, is got the example of paper which has the gramatur of 103,63 gr/m, the average of density is 414,44 kg/m, the evarage of tensile streng is 23 32,69 x 10N/ m, the everage of strength tear is 5399,62 mN.
