    Studi Analisa Simulasi tentang Korelasi Impregnasi Silika (SiO2) terhadap Nilai Kalor Bakar dan Kuat Tekan serta Karakteristik Briket Arang Tempurung Kelapa

    Abstract
    From the reseach data of the effect of the increase in silica (SiO2) in the concentration ranging 0.1% to 1.0%on the charcoal briquette of coconut shell experimentally, a numeric computation simulation has been conducted by using Matlab version 6.1. The present research intended to know the correlation between the increase in SiO2 and the contents of water, dust, volatile, and carbon and the heat caloric and pressure power of the charcoal briquette of coconut shell analytically in a numeric computation simulation using Matlab. Based on the comparison, it can be found that the simulation and experiment of the water, dust, and volatile contents and the pressure power was aproportional to the increase in concentration of SiO2 showing a positive correlation where as the carbon and heat caloric was inverse to the increase in concentration of SiO2 showing a negative correlation. The result of the numeric computation simulation of the correlation between the impregnation of silica (SiO2) and the heat calorie and the pressure power and the characteristic of charcoal briquette of coconut shell showed the fluctuated data of the points offered. The result of the numeric compuation simulation using Matlab caused the fluctuating results as indicated by the experiment.
     
    Dari data penelitian pengaruh penambahan silika (SiO2) dengan konsentrasi mulai dari 0,1% sampai 1,0% pada briket arang tempurung kelapa secara eksperimen dilakukan simulasi komputasi numerik dengan menggunakan Matlab versi 6.1.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara penambahan SiO2 terhadap kadar air, kadar abu, kadar volatil, dan kadar karbon serta kalor bakar dan kuat tekan dari briket arang tempurung kelapa secara analisis simulasi komputasi numerik menggunakan Matlab. Dari hasil perbandingan simulasi dan eksprimen kadar air, kadar abu, kadar volatil dan kuat tekan berbanding lurus dengan penambahan konsentrasi SiO2 menunjukkan korelasi positif, sedangkan kadar karbon dan kalor bakar berbanding terbalik dengan penambahan konsentrasi SiO2 menunjukkan korelasi negatif. Hasil simulasi komputasi numerik dari korelasi impregnasi silika(SiO2) terhadap kalor bakar dan kuat tekan serta karakteristik briket arang tempurung kelapa menunjukkan data fluktuasi untuk poin-poin yang diberikan. Hasil simulasi komputasi numerik menggunakan Matlab menyebabkan terjadi fluktuasi hasil yang diberikan dari eksperimen.
