    Abstract
    The mechanical properties of austenit manganese steel is various according to a certain amount of carbon and manganese in solid solution. When amount of carbon added continuosly in solid solution will decrease the hardness of steel both of fatigue failure. To rising the mechanical properties and exhibits good resistance of corrosion needed a various heating with holding time to make the changes. When pure austenit phase undergo of reheat-tratment at temperature of 300-500 oC, bainit phase is formed. Heating by reheat-treatment at temperature of 450oC with holding time 60 minutes is gained 163.83 MPa of ferrit phase hardness and 195.75 MPa of austenit phase hardness. At 500oC is gained 288,98 MPa of bainit phase hardness. At 550oC and 600oC are gained 222.02 MPa of pearlit phase hardness and 195.75 MPa of austenit phase hardness.
     
    Sifat-sifat mekanik baja mangan austenit bervariasi sesuai dengan kandungan karbon dan mangannya. Apabila karbon meningkat akan menyebabkan penurunan kekerasan dan kekenyalan. Guna meningkatkan kemampukerasan, meningkatkan sifat mekanik pada temperature tinggi dan rendah, meningkatkan ketangguhan pada nilai kekerasan atau ketangguhan minimum serta meningkatkan ketahanan terhadap keausan korosi dibutuhkan adanya perlakuan variasi pemanasan dan waktu tahan sehingga terjadi perubahan. Bila fasa austenit murni dipanaskan kembali pada rentang temperatur 3000C sampai 5000C maka terbentuk fasa bainit. Pemanasan kembali dilakukan pada temperatur 450-600 0C interval suhu 50 oC dengan waktu tahan tetap 60 menit. Pada temperatur 4500C kekerasan fasa ferrit 163,83 MPa, temperatur 5000C kekerasan fasa bainitnya 288,98 MPa, temperatur 5500C kekerasan fasa pearlite 222,02 MPa dan temperatur 6000C kekerasan fasa pearlite 222,02 MPa dan kekerasan fasa austenitnya pada tiap temperatur sama 195,75 MPa.
