    Perubahan Fasa Baja Mangan (FeMn) Hadfield 3401 pada Proses Pemanasan dan Perlakuan Pendinginan Cepat (Water Quenching) dan Lambat (Air Cooling)

    Abstract
    Hadfield steel was subjected to solution treatment by heating at a temperature of 1000ºC-1090ºC and then water quenched. The as-quenched material was then investigated for the development of microstructure in an reheat-treatment by heating at various temperatures ( 500ºC, 550ºC and 600ºC) and at two holding times (30min, 60min) and cooling of media air also in media water quenching. The effect of water cooling giving result of the ferrite migration from grain to grain boundary of the austenite phase. Dissimilar with this condition above, the air cooling present of the different phase. The ensuing microstructure was then examined for morphology using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and verified for elemental analysis using X-Ra Diffraction (XRD) as well as X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF). All microstructural phenomena form in this reheating temperature showed by the morphological mapping matched. Results of the morphological mapping showed the precipitate nucleation is happening in water quench process. In air cooling the sheaves of parallel ferrite plates which nucleated at austenite grain surfaces seemly detect unclearly. At a higher temperature in air cooling process, the new phase was form followed by the process of fulfilling the ferritic structure by the manganese carbide which then was observed by the XRD analyses in its hkl orientation which was confirm as the pearlitic phase.
     
    Baja Hadfield diteliti dengan proses pemanasan pada temperatur 1000 ºC-1090 ºC kemudian didinginkan cepat (water quenching). Bahan yang telah didinginkan cepat (water quenching) kemudian diteliti perkembangan mikrostrukturnya setelah pemanasan kembali dengan temperatur yang berbeda (500 ºC, 550 ºC dan 600 ºC) dengan dua kali waktu penahanan ( 30 menit, 60 menit) pada pendinginan lambat (air cooling) dan pendinginan cepat (water quenching). Efek dari pendinginan cepat menghasilkan migrasi ferrite dari butir kebatas butir pada fasa austenit. Berbeda dengan kondisi diatas, pendinginan lambat pada beberapa fasa. Untuk memastikan, mikrostruktur kemudian diuji morfologi dengan menggunakan scanning electron microscopy (SEM) dan untuk memastikan analisis unsur dengan menggunakan X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) dan juga X-Ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy. Seluruh bentuk keadaan mikrostruktur pada temperatur pemanasan ini ditunjukkan dengan perbedaan peta morphologi. Hasil pemetaan morphologi menunjukkan pengintian presifitasi terjadi pada proses pendinginan cepat. Pada pendinginan lambat ikatan permukaan ferrite paralel yang diintikan pada permukaan butir austenit kurang jelas kelihatannya.Pada temperatur tinggi proses pendinginan lambat fasa baru terbentuk diikuti dengan pengisian struktur ferrite dengan karbida mangan yang kemudian diamati dengan X- Ray Diffraction (XRD) pada daerah indeks Miller (hkl) yang dipastikan sebagai fasa pearlit.
