    Penentuan Persentase Pembentukan Fasa Austenit pada Transformasi Bainit Baja Mangan (FeMn) dengan Validasi Microhardness dan Macrohardness pada Temperatur 500ºC

    Abstract
    An investigation was done to a Hadfield 3401 steel used for railroad which formed in heat treatment at 1200 oC and then done with water quenching. The material was subjected to predict the change of microstructure’s by microhardness and macrohardness in a reheat treatment by heating at 500 oC temperature in 30 minutes and 60 minutes holding time with cooling air. Base to this investigation, it can be assumed that the hardness value will increasing in the higher temperature of heat treatment and the prosentation of austenit phase (82,76 %) bigger to be (89,686 %) increasing of longer of the holding time.
     
    Telah dilakukan suatu penelitian terhadap baja mangan Hadfield 3401 yang biasa dipakai sebagai bahan dasar rel kereta api yang telah diberi perlakuan panas (heat treatment) pada temperatur 1200 oC dan kemudian didinginkan cepat (water quenching). Material ini diteliti untuk memprediksi perubahan mikro strukturnya secara microhardness dan macrohardness setelah baja tersebut diberi perlakuan panas kembali (reheat treatment) pada temperatur 500 oC dengan dua kali waktu penahanan (holding time) yaitu 30 menit dan 60 menit pada pendinginan lambat (air cooling). Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat diprediksi bahwa nilai kekerasan akan bertambah karena perlakuan panas kembali dan persentase fasa austenit 82,76 % bertambah menjadi 89,686 % seiring dengan bertambahnya waktu penahanan.
