    Pembuatan dan Karakterisasikomposit Papan Partikeldari Limbah Polipropilena Daur Ulang dengan Serbuk Kayu Sembarang

    Abstract
    A research to produce of composite particle board made from sawdust as a filler and recycled polypropylene as a matriks on the physical properties and mechanical properties that meet quality standart. Indonesian standard of SNI 03-2105-2006 used for reference of test result. The experiment started by preparation of material calculation of the volume fraction, mixing, forming of particle board, and test. The particle board characteristic was tested using physical properties (Density, Water Content, The Development Of Thick) and mechanical properties (MOR, MOE, Impact, Strong Internal Adhesive) with the composition variation of weight fraction of PP:SK 30:70, 40:60, 50 : 50, 60:40, 70:30, The resulting particle board classified the type of particle board medium density was 0.58 gr/cm3 to 0.70 gr/cm3 , with water content from 0.30 to 2.39%, and the development of thickness from 7.14 to 11.41%. While the results of mechanical testing, MOR = 101.86 kgf/cm2 to 200.17 kgf/cm2 , MOE = 0.42 x 104 kgf/cm2 to 0.68 x 104 Kgf/cm2 , a strong impact = 2.05 Joule/cm2 to 3.38 Joule/cm2 , and strong internal adhesive = 1.93 kgf/cm2 to 5.10 kgf/cm2 . General Results showed PP recycled particle board and any sawdust has met standard SNI 03-2105-2006.
     
    Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pembuatan papan partikel komposit berbahan baku serbuk kayu sebagai pengisi dan polipropilen daur ulang sebagai pengikat terhadap sifat fisis dan sifat mekanis yang memenuhi standar mutu. Standar mutu SNI 03- 2105-2006 dijadikan referensi pembanding hasil pengujian. Tahap penelitian dimulai dari persiapan bahan, perhitungan fraksi volume, pencampuran, dan pembentukan papan partikel sampai pada pengujian. Untuk mengetahui karakteristik papan partikel dilakukan Pengujian sifat fisis (kerapatan, kadar air, pengembangan tebal) dan pengujian sifat mekanis (MOR, MOE, Impak, kuat rekat internal) dengan komposisi variasi fraksi berat PP:SK 30:70, 40:60, 50:50, 60:40, 70:30, Papan partikel yang dihasilkan tergolong jenis papan partikel berkerapatan sedang 0,58 gr/cm3 – 0,70 gr/cm3 , dengan kadar air 0,30 % - 2,39 %, serta pengembangan tebal 7,14 % - 11,41 %. Sedangkan hasil pengujian mekanis, MOR = 101,86 Kgf/cm2 – 200,17 Kgf/cm2 , MOE = 0,42 x 104 Kgf/cm2 - 0,68 x 104 Kgf/cm2 , kuat impak = 2,05 Joule/cm2 – 3,38 Joule/cm2 , dan kuat rekat internal = 1,93 Kgf/cm2 - 5,10 Kgf/cm2 . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara umum papan partikel PP daur ulang dan serbuk kayu sembarang telah memenuhi standar SNI 03-2105-2006.
