    Pembuatan dan Karakterisasi Komposit Papan Partikel dari Bahan Polipropilen (PP) Daur Ulang dan Serbuk Tempurung Kelapa (STK)

    Abstract
    An investigation of composite particle had done that aims to meet the needs of the growing timber. Board materials can include wood composite boards and non timber which has lignoselulosa (such as coconut shell powder). This study has been evaluated physical properties of such materials include physical tests conducted include: Density, and Development of Water Thickness and mechanical properties such as: Flexural Strength, Elastic Modulus, Internal and Strong Adhesive Strong Impact with the treatment composition of polypropylene and coconut shell powder varies namely: 30:70, 40:60, 50:50, 60:40, 70:30 by using the standard ISO 03-2105 - 2006. The results of the research indicated that the physical properties of particle board composite Polypropylene and coconut shell powder produced meet the standards of ISO 03-2105 - 2006, it was the mechanical properties of elastic modulus values do not meet the standards of ISO 03-2105 - 2006. Overall treatment gained dominance of the composition of 50:50 is beter than the other composition.
     
    Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengembangan pembuatan papan partikel komposit yang bertujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan kayu yang semakin meningkat. Bahan baku papan komposit yang berlignoselulosa (misalnya Serbuk tempurung Kelapa). Pada penelitian ini telah dievaluasi sifat fisis dari bahan tersebut diantaranya uji fisis yang dilakukan meliputi: Kerapatan, Kadar Air dan Pengembangan Tebal dan sifat mekanis meliputi: Kuat Lentur, Modulus Elastis, Kuat Rekat Internal dan Kuat Impak dengan perlakuan komposisi polipropilen dan serbuk tempurung kelapa bervariasi yaitu: 30 : 70, 40 : 60, 50 : 50, 60 : 40, 70 : 30 dengan menggunakan standar SNI 03 – 2105 – 2006. Dari hasil penelitian ditunjukkan bahwa nilai sifat fisis papan partikel komposit Polipropilena dan serbuk tempurung kelapa yang dihasilkan memenuhi standar SNI 03 – 2105 – 2006 sedangkan sifat mekanis nilai Modulus Elastis tidak memenuhi standar SNI 03 – 2105 – 2006. Secara keseluruhan perlakuan didapat dominasi dari komposisi 50 : 50 lebih baik dibandingkan dengan komposisi yang lain.
