Perancangan Filter Pasif Orde Tiga untuk Mengurangi Harmonisa Akibat Beban Non Linear (Studi Kasus pada Transformator 400 Kva di Politeknik Negeri Medan)

Abstract

ABSTRACT Harminsa is an outage of the distribution system which is caused by the use of non-linear load. The non-linear load is electric equipment which generally consists of the components of electric power. The characteristics of the electric power components cause the exixtence of harmonisa. Some problems caused by harmonisa are, among others, the increase of the energy losses, overheating, and low power so that it is nesecessary to find the solution of how to decrease the constraint of harmonisa by installing filter. In this research, the designed harmonisa filter was the type of order three passive filter which was function to decrease harmonisa in the distribution system of 380 volt low voltage from the transformer distribution with the capacity of 400kVA. The design of order three passive filter was modeled and simulated by using Matlab/Simulink of 7.1 Power System Blockset Version. Through the simulation, we could know the THD voltage and the THD of the flow before and after the filter was installed, and then it was compared with the standard of IEEE 519-1992. The total flow of 25% harmonisa distortion (THDi) with the installment of order three passive filter could be decreased to 5.23%, whereas the total of 8.9% of voltage harmonisa distortion (THDv) could be decreased to 6.26%. Besides it was used as a means for decreasing THDi and THDv order three passive filter could also be used as the compensation of reactive voltage or the reparation of voltage factor. In this research, the early 0.73 (lagging) of voltage factor (pf) was targeted to increase to 0.96 (lagging) of voltage factor (pf). Keywords : Order Three Passive Filter, THD, Voltage

ABSTRAK Harmonisa adalah merupakan gangguan dalam sistem distribusi yang disebabkan oleh adanya penggunaan beban non linier. Beban non linier adalah peralatan listrik yang pada umumnya terdiri dari komponen elektronika daya. Karakteristik dari komponen elektronika daya tersebut mengakibatkan munculnya harmonisa. Masalah-masalah yang dapat ditimbulkan oleh harmonisa antara lain adalah meningkatnya rugi-rugi energi, overheating dan faktor daya yang rendah, sehingga diperlukan cara mengurangi gangguan harmonisa tersebut dengan cara memasang filter. Pada penelitian ini filter harmonisa yang dirancang adalah jenis filter pasif orde tiga yang berfungsi untuk mengurangi harmonisa pada sistem distribusi tegangan rendah 380 volt dari transformator distribusi dengan kapasitas 400 kVA. Perancangan filter pasif orde tiga dimodelkan dan disimulasikan dengan menggunakan Matlab/Simulink. Melalui simulasi dapat diketahui THD tegangan dan THD arus sebelum dan sesudah dipasang filter, kemudian dibandingkan dengan standar IEEE 519-1992. Untuk Total Distorsi Harmonisa arus (THDi) dari 25% dengan pemasangan filter pasif orde tiga mampu dikurangi menjadi 5,23% sedangkan untuk Total Distorsi Harmonisa tegangan (THDv) dari 8,97% berkurang menjadi 6,26%. Selain sebagai sarana untuk mengurangi THDi dan THDv, filter pasif orde tiga bisa juga sekaligus sebagai kompensasi daya reaktif atau perbaikan faktor daya. Dalam penelitian ini faktor daya awal 0,73 (lagging) ditingkatkan menjadi sebesar 0,96 (lagging). Kata-kata kunci: filter pasif orde tiga, THDv,THDi, faktor daya
