    Penggunaan Metode Klasifikasi Oldeman untuk Simulasi Komputasi Pemetaan Curah Hujan di Sumatera Utara

    Abstract
    North Sumatra Province is an area that has a very distinctive characteristics, which the North Sumatra flanked by two (2) waters, among others: the Strait of Malacca in the east and the Indian Ocean on the west and is traversed by the Bukit Barisan Mountains which stretch from north to south. This condition greatly affects weather patterns and climate dynamics of the area. To analyze the characteristics of weather and climate conditions, particularly rainfall made territorial division based on the classification Oldeman rain. From the analysis of classification in North Sumatra for over 7 (seven) among other climate types: Type A1, C1, D1, D2, E1, E2 and E3. Generally, each type of salty climate of the North Equatorial patterned.
     
    Provinsi Sumatera Utara merupakan daerah yang memiliki karakteristik yang sangat khas, dimana Sumatera Utara diapit oleh 2 (dua) perairan antara lain: Selat Malaka di sebelah timur dan Samudra Hindia di sebelah barat serta dilalui oleh Pegunungan Bukit Barisan yang membentang dari utara hingga selatan. Kondisi ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap pola dinamika cuaca dan iklim daerah tersebut. Untuk menganalisis karekteristik kondisi cuaca dan iklim, khususnya curah hujan dilakukan pembagian wilayah hujan berdasarkan klasifikasi Oldeman. Dari hasil analisis klasifikasi Sumatera Utara di bagi atas 7 (tujuh) tipe iklim antara lain: Tipe A1, C1, D1, D2, E1, E2 dan E3. Umumnya masin-masing tipe iklim di Sumatera Utara berpola Equatorial.
