    Perancangan dan Karakterisasi Antena Mikrostrip Polarisasi Melingkar Menggunakan Teknik Complementary Split Ring Resonator (CSRR)

    Abstract
    The microstrip antenna is designed and characterized to obtain circular polarization which is applied to the Global Positioning System (GPS) system. GPS is a system for determining global positioning and navigation using satellites. The GPS is designed to provide position information as well as timely information continuously. The antenna used for GPS applications is a microstrip antenna with circular polarization. Data sent from the satellite is in the form of radio signals with a frequency of 1,575 GHz. In this study, modeling was carried out using the Microwave Office AWR 2004 software with an epoxy FR4 substrate, a dielectric constant of 4.4, and a substrate thickness of 1.6 mm. The square patch microstrip antenna is characterized by feed line displacement, inset length, patch dimension, and patch cut angle. In the optimal design, the VSWR value is 1.10, the return loss is -26.04 dB, the axial ratio is 2.11 dB. The optimal design of the circular polarized square patch microstrip antenna is then designed an antenna using a Complementary Split Ring Resonator (CSRR) structure placed on a square patch. The optimal yield resulted in a VSWR value of 1.64 and a return loss of -11.72, an axial ratio of 1.68 dB. The use of CSRR can reduce the patch antenna by 21.03% compared to a square patch antenna. Both antennas can work at the same frequency, namely 1.575 GHz
     
    Antena mikrostrip dirancang dan dikarakterisasi untuk mendapatkan polarisasi melingkar yang diaplikasikan pada sistem Global Positioning System (GPS). GPS merupakan sistem penentu posisi dan navigasi secara global menggunakan satelit. Sistem GPS dirancang untuk memberikan informasi posisi serta informasi mengenai waktu secara terus menerus. Antena yang digunakan untuk aplikasi GPS adalah antena mikrostrip dengan Polarisasi melingkar. Data yang dikirim dari satelit berupa sinyal radio dengan frekuensi 1575 MHz. Pada penelitian ini pemodelan dilakukan menggunakan software Microwave Office AWR 2004 dengan substrat epoxy FR4, konstanta dielektrik 4,4, ketebalan substrat 1,6 mm. Antena mikrostrip patch persegi dikarakterisasi dengan perpindahan saluran pencatu, panjang inset, dimensi patch dan pemotongan sudut patch. Pada rancangan optimal diperoleh nilai VSWR seberas 1,10, return loss - 26,04 dB, axial ratio 2,11 dB. Rancangan yang sudah optimal dari antena mikrostrip patch persegi polarisasi melingkar selanjutnya dirancang sebuah antena dengan menggunaan struktur Complementary Split Ring Resonator (CSRR) yang diletakkan pada patch persegi. Perolehan optimal menghasilkan nilai VSWR 1,64 dan return loss -11,72, axial ratio 1,68 dB. Penggunaan CSRR dapat mereduksi patch antena sebesar 21,03% di bandingkan dengan antena patch persegi.
