    Penentuan Faktor Pengali Sistem Pengukuran Analog Untuk Beban Non Linear

    Abstract
    In modern installations, the current flowing is actually much higher than the current measured by an ordinary measuring instrument (RMS meter). This is due to the fact that the current flowing at today’s installation has been distorted by harmonic currents caused by non-linear loads, so the distorted current waveform has been non-sinusoidal. The measurement of true RMS current is very important in installations where there are a number of non-linear loads, RMS meter reading will show lower measured value than True RMS Meter. RMS meter reading can give the value that approaches the true value if the measured value is multiplied with a multiplication factor which magnitude depends on the THD of loads. This research is carried out directly in the laboratory with loads that consist of energy saving lamps (ESL), incandescent lamps (IL), a combination of ESL and IL, and Laptop, from the data analysis, it is obtained that the relationship between the multiplication factor and THD can be defined with equation: y = 0.01x + 1.00 where y = multiplication factor and x = THD of current. The greater the THD of loads, the greater the multiplication factor that is required. Harmonics effects also cause errors in kWh meter readings in accordance with the increase of non-linear loads (THD).
     
    Pada instalasi modern, arus yang mengalir sebenarnya jauh lebih tinggi dari arus yang diukur dengan alat ukur biasa (RMS meter). Hal ini disebabkan arus pada instalasi saat ini telah mengalami distorsi disebabkan adanya arus harmonisa akibat beban non linear, sehingga bentuk gelombang arus yang terdistorsi sudah menjadi non sinusoidal. Pengukuran arus RMS sebenarnya (true RMS) sangat penting dalam instalasi dimana terdapat sejumlah beban non linear, pembacaan RMS meter memberikan hasil pengukuran lebih rendah dari hasil pengukuran dengan True RMS Meter. Pembacaan RMS meter dapat memberikan nilai yang mendekati harga sebenarnya bila hasil pengukuran yang terbaca harus dikalikan dengan suatu faktor pengali yang besarnya tergantung kepada THD beban. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara langsung di Laboratorium dengan beban lampu hemat energi (LHE), lampu pijar (LP), kombinasi LHE dan LP, dan Laptop, dari analisa data diperoleh bahwa hubungan antara faktor pengali dengan THD dapat dinyatakan dengan persamaan: y = 0,01x + 1,00 dimana y = faktor pengali dan x = THD arus. Makin besar THD beban, maka makin besar faktor pengali yang diperlukan. Pengaruh harmonisa juga mengakibatkan kesalahan pembacaan kWh meter sesuai dengan kenaikan beban nonlinear (THD).
