    Studi Analisis Simulasi tentang Korelasi Penambahan Aditif Cangkang Kelapa terhadap Sifat Fisis Keramik Berpori

    Abstract
    The porous ceramic with the coconut shell as an additive can be used as exhaust are gases filter. The ceramics characteristic versus the percentage of the additive material is simulation analysed by mathematica 5.1 software. The variables of this research are the coconut shell as the additive in with the various composition; 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 30% and 40%. The characteristics which are analysed are density, porosity, the Vikers hardness and pressure. By adding the additive in 30%, is the best condition which its density is 0,921 gram/cm3, the porosity as much 45,66%, the Vikers hardness as much 103 kgf/mm2 and the pressure as much 3,33 x 105 N/m2. In addition to that, it has a positive correlation with the porosity value, otherwise it has a negative correlation with the density, Vikers hardness and the pressure.
     
    Keramik berpori dengan aditif cangkang kelapa dapat digunakan sebagai filter gas buang. Karakteristik keramik ini terhadap persentase zat aditif dianalisis secara simulasi dengan program mathematica 5.1. Variabel penelitian simulasi ini adalah aditif cangkang kelapa dengan berbagai komposisi 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 30% dan 40%. Karakteristik yang dianalisis adalah densitas, porositas, kekerasan dan kuat tekan. Dengan penambahan aditif 30%, merupakan kondisi paling baik karena memiliki densitas = 0,921 gram/cm3, porositas = 45,66%, kekerasan Vikers = 103 kgf/mm2 dan kuat tekan 3,33 x 105 N/m2. Penambahan aditif sebanding dengan nilai porositas, berbanding terbalik dengan nilai densitas, kekerasan Vikers dan kuat tekan.
