Ketepatan Pemeriksaan Klinis, Sitologi Aspirasi Jarum Halus dan Potong Beku pada Nodul Tunggal Tiroid

Abstract

Objective : To evaluate the efficacy of clinical examination, fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB), and frozen section in a single thyroid nodule. Background : Thyroid tumour is a common disease found in endocrine system. The number of prevalency is increasing by the age. The increasing number of thyroid nodule operation was caused by inaccurate preoperative diagnosis. The FNAB examination is the most effective and cheapest thyroid nodule examination. The intraoperative frozen section test used to confirm the result of FNAB and to determine the defenitive thyroidectomy operation. This study will evaluate and compare the efficacy of clinical examination, cytologic FNAB and frozen section in single thyroid nodule with histopatology examination as a gold standart.

Tujuan : Mengetahui ketepatan pemeriksaan klinis, bajah dan potong beku pada nodul tunggal tiroid. Latar belakang : Tumor tiroid merupakan sistem endokrin yang terbanyak dijumpai. Angka prevalensinya meningkat dengan bertambahnya usia. Tingginya angka operasi dalam penatalaksanaan nodul tiroid, hal ini disebabkan diagnosa preoperatif yang belum memberikan akurasi yang optimal. Pemeriksaan bajah merupakan pemeriksaan nodul tiroid yang paling murah dan efektif. Pemeriksaan potong beku intraoperatif untuk mengkonfirmasi hasil bajah dan digunakan sebagai dasar menentukan tindakan operasi defenitif tiroidektomi. Penelitian ini akan menilai dan membandingkan ketepatan pemeriksaan klinis, sitologi bajah dan potong beku pada nodul tunggal tiroid dengan pemeriksaan histopatologi sebagai baku emas.
