    Abstract
This research on the use of bagasse fiber as reinforcement and pumice powder as a filler in the polyester matrix and adhesive rubber SIR-20 in an manufacture polymer tile. This research method using physical test form (test water absorption, density test), mechanical test form (impact test, tensile test, bending test), thermal test / DTA form (heat absorption), micro structure (SEM). From the results of the physical properties testing that has been done shows that the manufacture of tiles filled by the cane fiber in the composition of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%, water absorption value of total samples ranging from 1,81% to 6,83% has been meet the standards of ISO-0099 of 2007 (<10%), while the density ranges from 1,14 gr/cm3 to 1,3 gr/cm3. In the test results of mechanical testing flexural strength, flexural strength value of total samples ranges from 404 MPa to 648 MPa meet the standard ASTM D-790-03 (> 172,5 MPa) and ASTM C-580-02 (> 11,79 MPa) while The impact value ranges from 4.67 kJ/m2 to 47.11 kJ/m2 and tensile test values ranging from 1,46 MPa to 2,58 MPa. From the mechanical properties testing, the sample composition III (10%) of sugarcane fiber has more homogeneous composition because it has increased significantly even on tensile test and bending strength is at its maximum value. In the test DTA addition of cane fiber in an exothermic reaction tends to lower the melting point of samples where the composition of 0% fiber (sample I) a melting point of 480°C and at a composition of 20% fiber (sample V) melting point to 410°C, while the endothermic reaction highs located on the fiber composition of 10% (sample III) with an endothermic temperature of 348°C and the lowest on the composition of 5% (sample II) with a temperature of 335°C. For microstructure with SEM observation shows that the composition of the sample I found a lot of pores formed as a result of the character of pumice. On the composition of the best mechanics (sample shown their good homogeneity between the fibers, pumice and adhesives. On the composition of the sample V seen the increase pore size which indicates the number of vacant space is generated. The addition of baggese cane fiber as filler has limited capacity in which the physical properties of an absorbent only water that meets ISO standards 0099 2007 (16.67%) with a maximum test results obtained (6.8%). The density is still below the standard value of commercial tile (1.5 g / cm3) with density values maxim um (1.3 g / cm3) and a mechanical test only test of flexural strength which meets the standard ASTM D 790-03 (172, 5 MPa) with a maximum value of 648 MPa.
