    Abstract
The application using of electric field in the cell membrane in bacteria escherichia coli, with to determine influence field toward cell membrance, due to an increase in transmembrane potensial in bacteria escherichia coli cells and also to find out how the effects on the cell membrane caused by changes in the applied voltage. The using at variation of pulse electric field at 20kV/19mm, 40kV/19mm, 50kV/19mm and 55kV/19mm. Of the transmembrane potensial increase to the critical condition of the ionization process will occur and increase the concentration of ions in the positive and negative ion out of the cell, so that the metabolism in the cell as activation energy had stalled due to rupture cell membranes or broken. The result show reduction in the number of bacteria that survive 20kV/19mm = 331CFU; 40kV/19mm = 279 CFU, 50kV/mm = 232 CFU and 55kV/19mm = 212 CFU. This result show that improvement change effect existence influencing reduction bacteria estherichia coli colony which live on.
