Pengaruh Faktor Predisposisi, Pemungkin dan Pendorong Remaja Pengguna Situs Internet dan Televisi terhadap Perilaku Seksual di SMA Methodist 4 Medan

Abstract

The change which occurs in teenagers whether it is physical or psychological change is related to the production of sexual hormone in the body which can cause emotional and sexual drives. In Medan, according to BKKBN(2010), the teenagers have committed sexual intercourse without getting married area about 52%. The type of the research was observational analytic with cross sectional design. The aim of the research was to analyze the influence factors of predisposition, enabling, and reinforcing for the teenagers on the using of internet and television on teenagers’ sexual behavior at Methodist High School 4, Medan. The population were 44 students, and all of them were used as the samples. The data were analyzed by using univatriate, bivatriate, and multivatriate analysis. The result of the research showed that the teenagers’ sexual behavior at Methodist High School 4, Medan, was categorized as bad (56.8%). The result of the research also showed that getting involved in internet and peers had significant influence on teenagers’ sexual behavior (p<0.05), and the dominant variable was the involvement in the peers (ß=2.806). It is recommended that 1) the authority of Methodist High School 4 Medan should increase additional materials or counseling about the use of internet in order to be used properly and beneficial for the students of Methodist High School 4, Medan, as the support of the knowledge they had studied at school, 2) the parents should pay full attention to their children’s social intercourse so that parents would be the ones to whom they could claim their complaints.

Perubahan yang terjadi pada remaja baik fisik maupun psikologis berhubungan dengan produksi hormon seksual dalam tubuh yang mengakibatkan timbulnya dorongan emosi dan seksual. Di Medan menurut BKKBN (2010) remaja yang sudah melakukan seks pranikah tercatat sebanyak 52%. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan rancangan potong lintang. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis pengaruh faktor predisposisi, pemungkin dan pendorong remaja pengguna situs internet dan televisi terhadap perilaku seksual remaja SMA Methodist 4 Medan. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa-siswi SMA Methodist 4 yang berjumlah 44 orang dan keseluruhannya dijadikan sampel. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis univariat, bivariat dan multivariat. Diperoleh hasil bahwa perilaku seksual remaja di SMA Methodist 4 Medan tergolong pada perilaku seksual yang buruk (56,8%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tindakan terhadap internet dan tindakan teman sebaya mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perilaku seksual remaja (p<0,05) dengan variabel dominan adalah tindakan teman sebaya (β = 2,806). Disarankan kepada 1) pihak sekolah SMA Methodist 4 Medan agar meningkatkan materi atau penyuluhan mengenai penggunaan internet untuk kepentingan yang benar dan bermanfaat bagi siswa. 2) Selain itu, orang tua agar memperhatikan pergaulan anaknya dan menjadi tempat keluh kesah yang tepat bagi anak.
