    Abstract
Background : Most countries experience an increase in the elderly population as a result of a longer life expectancy with 1.2 billion postmenopausal women worldwide in 2030. Menopausal women whose nutritional intake is less proven to have a low mean cognitive function score and generally due to vitamin D deficiency Objective: To determine the relationship between serum estradiol and vitamin D levels on cognitive function assessed using IQCODE in postmenopausal women. Methods: An observational analytic study with a cross-sectional study design at the Obstetric and Gynecologic Polyclinic of the Universitas Sumatera Utara General Hospital in Medan starting from April 2021 to May 2021. The data collected in this study were the results of the examination of estradiol and vitamin D levels and cognitive function assessed using IQCODE score. Statistical test in the study using Spearman correlation. Results: There were 14 subjects with high school education, no significant correlation was found between serum estradiol (p=0,201) and vitamin D levels (p=0,828) with IQCODE scores on cognitive function. In subjects with tertiary education, there was also no significant correlation between serum estradiol (p=0.647) and vitamin D levels (p=0.368) with IQCODE scores on cognitive function. Using the Kruskal Wallis test showed that there was no significant relationship between the length of menopause and cognitive function (p = 0.167) Conclusion: There was no significant correlation between serum estradiol and vitamin D levels with IQCODE scores on cognitive function based on education level.
