    Abstract
    Partial discharge is a discharge of electricity in the insulation medium between two not completely connected electrodes. The effectivity and efficiency of a power plant to meet the electricity needs of an area is influenced by the generator condition. One of the damage to generator insulation could be caused by electricity failure due to temperature condition and electricity charge at high voltage. Early detection of partial discharge is very important to be carried out continuously to minimize insulation damage as well as protecting the equipments or the system as a whole. In this research, a partial in gas turbine generator was detected online where based on the measurement results, cause, type, location, and intensity of the partial discharge was being analyzed so that the effect of partial discharge towards the generator was discovered during measurement. Calculation of power losses caused by partial discharge was done to know the impact of partial discharge towards the generator efficiency.
     
    Partial discharge merupakan peluahan elektrik pada medium isolasi yang berada diantara dua elektroda yang tidak sepenuhnya menghubungkan kedua elektroda secara sempurna. Kondisi generator mempengaruhi efektif dan efisiennya suatu pembangkit energi listrik untuk memenuhi kebutuhan listrik pada kawasan yang disuplai oleh pembangkit tersebut. Kerusakan pada isolasi generator salah satunya dapat disebabkan oleh kegagalan elektrik akibat kondisi temperatur dan muatan listrik pada tegangan tinggi. Pendeteksian sejak awal aktifitas partial discharge sangat penting dilakukan secara kontinu sehingga kerusakan isolasi dapat di minimalisir serta mengamankan peralatan atau sistem secara keseluruhan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pendeteksian partial discharge pada generator turbin gas secara online dimana dari hasil pengukuran di analisis penyebab, jenis, lokasi, serta intensitas dari partial discharge sehingga diketahui pengaruh partial discharge yang timbul terhadap generator pada saat pengukuran. Perhitungan nilai rugi daya yang di hasilkan partial discharge dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh partial discharge terhadap efisiensi dari generator.
