    Keanekaragam Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula di Perkebunan Tebu PTPN 2 Sei Semayang Sumatera Utara

    Abstract
    The objective of this research was to know the diversity of arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi in sugar cane field. The soil sample and root were taken from sugar cane rhizosfer of 2 and 5 mounth plant. Observation were done in Soil Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculturre, University of Sumatera Utara. The parameters observed were degree of root infection, spore density and the identification of spore type. The result showed that degree of colonization and spore density were higher in root system and soil of 5 mounth plant than of 2 mounth plant. The spread of spore in two locations were found twenty types Glomus sp and one type Acaulospora sp. Root colonization of AMF was correlation with spore density. Some of chemistry properties was also correlation with spore density. However, higher P concentration decreased spore density. On the other side lower water availability send to increase spore density.
     
    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman fungi mikoriza arbuskula yang ada di perkebunan tebu. Sampel tanah dan akar diambil dari rhizosfer perakaran tebu dengan dua tingkat umur tanaman inang masing-masing 2 bulan dan 5 bulan. Pengamatan dan analisis dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara. Pengamatan yang dilakukan menggunakan parameter yaitu derajat infeksi akar, kepadatan spora dan identifikasi jenis spora. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kolonisasi dan kepadatan spora lebih tinggi pada perakaran dan tanah tanaman yang berumur 5 bulan daripada perakaran dan tanah tanaman yang berumur 2 bulan. Pada kedua lokasi ditemukan Glomus sp sebanyak 10 jenis dan satu jenis Acaulospora sp. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa infeksi akar oleh FMA sejalan dengan kepadatan spora. Beberapa sifat kimia tanah juga mempengaruhi kepadatan spora, jumlah tersedia P yang tinggi menyebabkan kepadatan spora berkurang. Ketersediaan air yang rendah menyebabkan kepadatan spora meningkat.
