    Hubungan Cedera Maksilofasial dengan Cedera Kepala di Rsup H. Adam Malik Medan

    Abstract
    Background The incidence and causes of epidemiology maxillofacial trauma and facial fractures varies in different regions of the world. Patients with high-risk maxillofacial fractures accompanied with a head injury. The risk of head trauma varies between 2.04% and 14%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of maxillofacial injuries with head injuries at Adam Malik Hospital. Methods This research is descriptive analytic retrospective design. Samples were obtained as much as 276 cases. Data were collected through medical records at Adam Malik Hospital during the period September 2014 to November 2014. Data were analyzed using Pearson Chi Square. Results Of the 276 cases of maxillofacial trauma that collected during the study found 64 retrospective case series, accompanied by head trauma. The average age of the research was 34.35 ± 15 654 years, with the highest number of sex is as much as 227 men (82.2%). Most maxillofacial trauma accompanied by head trauma is mandibular fractures were 32 cases, and 106 cases without head trauma. Based on Chi-square test p-value found 0.834 which indicates that there is no relationship types maxillofacial trauma with head trauma. Conclusion There is no relationship types maxillofacial trauma with head trauma.
     
    Latar belakang Insiden dan penyebab epidemiologi maksilofasial trauma dan patah tulang wajah bervariasi di berbagai daerah di dunia. Pasien dengan fraktur maksilofasial beresiko tinggi disertai dengan cedera kepala. Resiko mengalami trauma kepala bervariasi antara 2,04% dan 14%. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan cedera maksilofasial dengan cedera kepala di RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan. Metode Penelitian Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptis analitik dengan desain retrospektif. Sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 276 kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui data rekam medis di RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan selama kurun waktu September 2014 sampai November 2014. Data kemudian dilakukan analisis dengan menggunakan Pearson Chi Square. Hasil Penelitian Dari 276 kasus trauma maksilofasial yang tekumpul selama penelitian dijumpai 64 kasusu disertai dengan trauma kepala. Usia rerata pada penelitain ini adalah 34.35 ± 15.654 tahun, dengan jumlah kelamin terbanyak adalah laki-laki sebanyak 227 (82.2%). Trauma maksilofasial terbanyak yang disertai dengan trauma kepala adalah fraktur mandibula sebanyak 32 kasus, dan 106 kasus tanpa trauma kepala. Berdasarkan uji Chi-Square dijumpai nilai p 0.834 yang menandakan bahwa tidak ada hubungan jenis trauma maksilofasial dengan kejadian trauma kepala. Kesimpulan Tidak ada hubungan jenis trauma maksilofasial dengan kejadian trauma kepala.
