dc.description.abstract | Indonesia is a famous country had the diversity of plants, especially
agricultural product and herbs, they had a potential of antimicrobial as a like
turmeric leaf (Curcuma domestica Val.). This research was aimed to know the
antimicrobial activity of the extracts turmeric leaf. The study used completely
randomized design with two factors, were extraction methods by maceration
water, methanol, ethylacetate and extract of turmeric leaf concentration 20%,
40%, 60%, 80%. Extract of turmeric leaf had inhibited the growth of Escherichia
coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Shigella dysenteriae, and no effect on growth of
Lactobacillus acidophilus. Extract with ethylacetate and concentration 80%
showed to have more antimicrobial activity. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Indonesia merupakan Negara yang dikenal dengan keanekaragaman
tanaman terutama hasil pertanian dan rempah – rempah, yang memiliki potensi
sebagai antimikroba seperti daun kunyit (Curcuma domestica Val.). Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antimikroba ekstrak daun kunyit. Metode
yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan dua faktor, yaitu metode
ekstraksi dengan maserasi mengunakan pelarut air, metanol, etilasetat, dan
konsentrasi ekstrak daun kunyit 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%. Ekstrak daun kunyit
memberi daya hambat terhadap pertumbuhan Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus
aureus, Shigella dysenteriae, dan tidak memberi daya hambat terhadap
pertumbuhan Lactobacillus acidophilus. Ekstrak dengan etilasetat dan konsentrasi
80% memberi aktivitas antimikroba paling tinggi. | en_US |
