The title of this thesis is ‘Self’ as Reflected in Kahlil Gibran’s Prose Poetry: The Prophet. In this thesis, there is analysis of ‘concept of self’ which has been written in Kahlil Gibran’s book ‘The Prophet’. This analysis is for explaining how the process of developing self by self-knowledge, talking, teaching, and pain where the main focus is how we must deal with ourselves. The method used in this thesis is descriptive method that analyzes and interprets the data to know Kahlil Gibran’s point of view about ‘the concept of self’ trough selected theme from the book “The Prophet”.
