Aplikasi Jerami dan Paket Pemupukan terhadap Sifat Tanah, Pertumbuhan dan Produksi pada Pola Penanaman Padi Intensif

Aplication of paddy straw and fertilization package on soil characteristics, rice growth and production in the intensive rice planting pattern, the aim of the research was to obtain of the effect of fresh paddy straw application and fertilization package technology on the soil characteristics, rice growth and production grown using the intensive rice planting pattern. This research was carried out from November 2009 - February 2010 at Kebun Percobaan Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (BPTP) Sumatera Utara, Pasar Miring, on the Inceptisol soil type. The exprimental design used the Split Plot Design with 3 replications, the main plot was fresh paddy straw (J) that consists of J0 = without straw, J1 = stubble without decomposer, J2 = stubble + decomposer and J3 = stubble + straw + decomposer, and the sub plot was the fertilization package (P) consists of P1 = local farmer fertilizing, P2 = based on the soil analysis result of nitrogen (N), fosphate (P) and kalium (K), P3 = fertilizing based on Keputusan Menteri Pertanian (Kepmentan) no. 1 / 2006, P4 = fertilizing based on Leaf Color Chart (LCC) to N fertilizer on Perangkat Uji Tanah Sawah (PUTS) analysis of P and K and, and P5 = fertilizing based on the simulation PuPS 1.0 software. The result show that the fresh straw was able to improve the soil characteristics, increase rice production but did not affect the rice growth significantly. Aplication of decomposer in to the fresh paddy straw gave higher affect than without decomposer aplication. Fertilization package influence the soil characteristics, the rice growth and production. The fertilization package PuPS 1.0 the less fertilizers was able to improve the rice growth and production. The interaction between the combination of fresh straw and decomposer with the fertilization package was able to improve the soil characteristics and to increase the rice growth but did not impact the rice production significantly.

Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Nopember 2009 - Februari 2010 di Kebun Percbaan BPTP Sumut, Pasar Miring, dengan jenis tanah inceptisol. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Petak Terpisah dengan tiga ulangan, Petak utama jerami (J) yang terdiri dari J0 = tanpa jerami, J1 = tunggul tanpa dekomposer, J2 = tunggul + dekomposer dan J3 = tunggul + jerami + dekomposer dan anak petak adalah paket pemupukan (P) terdiri dari P1 = pemupukan petani setempat, P2 = berdasarkan hasil analisa N, P dan K tanah, P3 = pemupukan berdasarkan Kepmentan No. 1 / 2006, P4 = pemupukan berdasarkan Bagan Warna Daun (BWD) untuk N dan Perangkat Uji Tanah Sawah (PUTS) untuk P dan K serta P5 = pemupukan berdasarkan simulasi piranti lunak PuPS 1.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian jerami dapat memperbaiki sifat tanah, menaikkan produksi tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan padi. Penambahan dekomposer pada jerami memberikan pengaruh yang lebih tinggi dibanding tanpa dekomposer. Paket pemupukan mempengaruhi sifat tanah, pertumbuhan dan produksi padi. Paket pemupukan PuPS 1.0 dengan penggunaan pupuk yang lebih sedikit dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi padi. Kombinasi jerami yang dicampur dekomposer dan paket pemupukan dapat memperbaiki sifat tanah dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi.
