Analisis Pengaruh Permintaan dan Penawaran Beras di Kota Medan

Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the simultaneous influence of exogenous variables on endogenous variables i.e. per capita PDRB (Gross Domestic Regional Product), rainfall index, price of rice, number of residents, and supply and demand for rice. This research applied quantitative analysis using secondary annual data within the period of 1997 to 2014 obtained from BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics), Food Stability Agency, and Trade and Industry Agency of Medan. The data were analyzed using simultaneous equation with Indirect Last Square (ILS) method. The results showed that, simultaneously, the price of rice, per capita PDRB, and the number of residents had significant influence on the demand for rice in Medan. Partially, the price of rice had negative and significant influence on the demand for rice in Medan, while per capita PDRB and number of residents partially had positive and significant influence on the demand for rice in Medan. The price of rice, number of residents and rainfall index simultaneously had significant influence on the supply of rice in Medan. Partially, the price of rice and the number of residents indicated positive and significant influence on the supply of rice in Medan. Partially, the rainfall index partially had negative and significant influence on the supply of rice in Medan. The per capita PDRB and rainfall index simultaneously had positive and significant influence on the price of rice in Medan. Meanwhile, the per capita PDRB and rainfall index partially had positive and significant influence on the price of rice in Medan.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh simultan antara variabel-variabel eksogen terhadap variabel-variabel endogen, yakni PDRB perkapita, indeks curah hujan, harga beras, jumlah penduduk, permintaan dan penawaran beras. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analisis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan data sekunder dengan periode tahunan, dari tahun 1997 sampai dengan 2014 yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), Dinas Badan Ketahanan Pangan Kota Medan dan Disperindag Kota Medan. Tehnik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan persamaan simultan dengan metode Indirect Last Square (ILS). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa harga beras, PDRB perkapita dan jumlah penduduk secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap permintaan beras di Kota Medan. Secara parsial harga beras berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap permintaan beras di Kota Medan, sedangkan PDRB perkapita dan jumlah penduduk secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap permintaan beras di Kota Medan. Harga beras, jumlah penduduk dan indeks curah hujan secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penawaran beras di Kota Medan. Secara parsial harga beras dan jumlah penduduk berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penawaran beras di Kota Medan. Sedangkan indeks curah hujan secara parsial berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap penawaran beras di Kota Medan. PDRB perkapita dan indeks curah hujan secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap harga beras di Kota Medan. Secara parsial PDRB perkapita dan indeks curah hujan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap harga beras di Kota Medan.
