    Investigasi Agensia Hayati Untuk Pengendalian Penyakit Bercak Daun (Phyllosticta zingiberi) pada Tanaman Jahe Merah (Zingiber officinale Rosc)

    Abstract
    Leaf spotting diseases is a major disease on red ginger plant because of economic disadvantage in terms of farmers income and reduce state revenue because of the red ginger is an export commodity. This disease probably originated from red ginger seeds that can survive in the seed. The study aims to test the effectiveness of the fungus T koningii, T harzianum, Gliocladium spp, and G. virens as biological agents to control disease causing pathogens P zingiberi ginger leaf spot, and testing the effectiveness of how the application of biological agents in controlling leaf spot disease of ginger. The research was conducted at two places, namely at the Faculty of Agriculture Plant Pathology Laboratory of the University of North Sumatera Medan with ± 25 m altitude above sea level, and at the Faculty of Agriculture experimental land Agroteknologi Studies Program University of Amir Hamzah Medan. Kelurahan Medan Estate Sub Percut Sei Tuan Deli Serdang district, with a height of ± 25 m. The timing of the researc began in January 2010 to August 2010. In this research, there are 4 methods of testing conducted: 1.Test antagonist biological agents against pathogenic fungi in the laboratory P zingiberi, 2. Test Postulates Koch, 3. Identification of disease causing leaf spot of red ginger plant, 4.Test antagonist biological agents against pathogenic fungi P zingiberi in the field.The research in the laboratory, showed that the growth inhibiting zone presentase lowest in treatments without fungal antagonist at 6.43% and the highest found on treatment with the fungal antagonist Gliocladium spp amounted to 46.23%. In the implementation of research in the field use of biological agents antifungal suspension Gliocladium virens on leaves relatively more effective in inhibiting the growth of the fungus P. zingiberi.
     
    Penyakit Bercak daun merupakan penyakit utama pada tanaman jahe merah karena dari segi ekonomi merugikan pendapatan petani dan menurunkan pendapatan negara karena jahe merah merupakan komoditi export . Penyakit ini kemungkinan berasal dari benih jahe merah yang dapat bertahan dalam benih. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas jamur T koningii, T harzianum, Gliocladium spp, dan G virens sebagai agensia hayati untuk mengendalikan patogen P zingiberi penyebab penyakit bercak daun jahe, dan menguji efektivitas cara aplikasi agensia hayati dalam mengendalikan penyakit bercak daun jahe. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada dua tempat yaitu di Laboratorium Penyakit Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara Medan dengan ketinggian tempat ± 25 m dpl, dan di lahan Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Program Studi Agroteknologi Univesitas Amir Hamzah Medan. Kelurahan Medan Estate Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang, dengan ketinggian ± 25 m dpl. Waktu pelaksanaan penelitian dimulai bulan Januari 2010 sampai dengan Agustus 2010. Pada penelitian ini ada 4 metode pengujian yang dilaksanakan yaitu 1. Uji antagonis agensia hayati terhadap patogen jamur P zingiberi di laboratorium, 2.Uji Postulat Koch, 3. Identifikasi penyakit penyebab bercak daun tanaman jahe merah, 4. Uji antagonis agensia hayati terhadap patogen jamur P zingiberi di lapangan. Pada penelitian di laboratorium, menunjukan persentase zona penghambat pertumbuhan paling rendah pada perlakuan tanpa jamur antagonis sebesar 6,43 % dan yang paling tinggi terdapat pada perlakuan dengan jamur antagonis Gliocladium spp sebesar 46,23 %. Pada pelaksanaan penelitian di lapangan penggunaan suspensi antifungal agensia hayati Gliocladium virens pada daun relatif lebih efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan jamur P. zingiberi.
