Dampak Komoditi Kopi Gayo terhadap Kehidupan Sosial Ekonomi Petani di Bener Meriah

Abstract

One of Aceh commodity that is now worldwide known is Coffee commodity which has become excellent commodity for farmers, especially in Bener Meriah and in Central Aceh Highlands in general. Proved that almost 90 % of the people in this area depend on subsistence coffee plantation where their farms around 49,187 hectares and even wider when measured in detail, Pomp and advantages of this commodity has not been fully able to prosper due to the farming community fluctuative marketing prospect and the absence of an insurer of the commodity at harvest time. As a result, the farmers as producers experienced a dilemma , in addition to impact also on the application of post-harvest pattern coffee though , which affects the quality and taste of the product coupled with the bad behavior of our coffee exporters, where they average take double times the price of purchased coffee farmers in the area. On the other hand the existence of local traders and exporters of coffee often utilize the money that has been paid in cash by the buyer, but in fact they have always give statement that the money hasn’t been paid in cash. Other modes exist among those who make an investment into other business. In seeking answers to the problems of research, carried out a review of the various methods of the existing literature. Results are obtained by interviewing key informants in depth which were collected and analyzed descriptively and compared with existing theories and facts that appear in the field so as to produce a comprehensive conclusion. The study concluded that the fate of Gayo coffee farmers are still supposed to be not prosperous compared to big name Gayo coffee which is known worldwidely, in addition, also still lack of Local Government role in addressing the problems of coffee, although so far the government has been providing assistance in seedlings, up to the cost of and fertilizer treatments, but after harvest time, coffee farmers confused because they have not been able to determine the price . The government has not been able to push up the price of coffee to increase the welfare of farmers; the government only rejuvenates the coffee. And how to conserve the coffee, but the control of post-harvest and market control never involve the farmers by the government.

Salah satu komoditi unggulan Aceh yang kini mendunia adalah komoditi Kopi yang saat ini menjadi komoditi primadona bagi petani di Bener Meriah khususnya dan dataran tinggi Gayo pada umumnya. dibuktikan hampir 90 % masyarakat didaerah ini penghidupannya tergantung pada perkebunan kopi dimana hamparannya sekitar 49,187 hektar bahkan kemungkinan lebih luas lagi bila diukur secara detail, Kemegahan dan keunggulan komoditi ini belum sepenuhnya mampu mensejahterakan masyarakat petani dikarenakan prosfek pemasaran yang pluktuatif dan tidak adanya pihak penjamin hasil komoditi pada saat musim panen. Akibatnya petani selaku produsen mengalami delematis, selain berdampak juga pada penerapan pola olah kopi pasca panen, yang berdampak pada kwalitas dan cita rasa prodak ditambah lagi dengan prilaku eksportir kopi kita ada yang bermoral rendah, dimana mereka rata-rata mengambil keuntungan dua kali lipat dari harga dibelinya kepada petani kopi di daerah. Disisi lain adanya pedagang pengumpul maupun eksportir lokal sering memanfaatkan uang kopi yang telah dibayar cast/kontan oleh pembeli, akan tetapi kenyataannnya mereka selalu menyatakan uang belum keluar. Modus lainnya ada diantara mereka yang menggandakan atau melakukan investasi ke usaha lain. Dalam upaya mencari jawaban atas permasalahan penelitian, dilakukan berbagai metode penelaahan terhadap berbagai literatur yang ada. Hasil informan kunci yang sudah diwawancarai secara mendalam dikumpulkan dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dibandingkan dengan teori yang ada serta fakta-fakta yang muncul dilapangan sehingga menghasilkan kesimpulan yang komprehensif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa nasib petani kopi Gayo saat ini masih belum bisa dikatakan sejahtra bila dibandingkan dengan nama besar kopi gayo yang mendunia, disamping itu juga masih minimnya peran Pemerintah Daerah dalam menangani permasalahan kopi, walaupun sejauh ini pemerintah sudah memberikan bantuan bibit, hingga biaya perawatan dan pupuk, tapi setelah panen petani kopi bingung Karena petani belum dapat menentukan harga. Pemerintah belum mampu mendongkrak harga kopi yang dapat mensejahterakan petani, yang dilakukan pemerintah hanya bagaimana melakukan peremajaan terhadap kopi. Dan bagaimana melestarian kopi, tapi pengendalian pasca panen dan pengendalian pasar petani tidak pernah diturut sertakan oleh pemerintah.
