    Abstract
Research about structure population and reproductive performance of Indian white prawn (Penaeus indicus) was conducted in May - July 2012 on estuarine water of Belawan’s mangrove ecosystem, North of Sumatera. The aims of research was to determinate the structure population, growth patterns, reproductive performance and correlation among on biological parameters of mangrove ecosystem and Indian white prawn density. The study site was purposive random sampling method on 5 observe stations. Calculate of equations used to know abundance of Indian white prawn, linear regression analysis used to know growth pattern and Pearson’s correlation analysis with SPSS software version 17.0 to know the correlation from both of biological parameters. The Result calculation of shrimp’s abundance was found 1032 male and 1878 female. Graphic was described the growth pattern of P. indicus including allometric negative. The highest sex ratio of P. indicus on fifth station. And the highest reproductive performance P. indicus on first and second station with 1 - 3 ovarian maturation stages. Pearson’s correlation was indicated that biological parameters (mangroves and plankton abundance) had a significant positive correlation to amount of Indian white prawn caught.
