dc.description.abstractA research has been conducted entitled Analysis on the Influence of Leadership Style and Motivation of the Head of the Penitentiary on the Job Performances of Employee of Class II A Children’s Penitentiary in Medan. The aim of the research is to know and analysis the influence of leadership style and motivation of the Head of the Penitentiary on the Job Performances of Employee of Class II A Children’s Penitentiary in Medan. The research was a descriptive quantitative research using the survey method. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires and documentation. Analysis of data was conducted using the multiple linear regression model. Numbers of samples for the study were 68 employees of the penitentiary. Results showed that coincidently and partially, both variables, leadership style and motivation of the Head of the Penitentiary had significant positive influence on the job performance of the employees of the class II A Children’s Penitentiary in Medan. Job performance of the employees at the Penitentiary was affected as much as 86% by leadership style and motivation of the Head of the Penitentiary.en_US
