This program is expected mainly in leading many vehicles direct to newly ways as for long time passing central of city and perhaps to reduce volume of traffic in stagnant found in city as long as, beside the program of development is aimed to stimulate the growth economical on the suburb. The location to this study is Medan Sunggal, sub-district of the city got already changed as one of the business-regions, which area provided for widening the road. On this study is aimed to describe out how importance the change of the area provided for refers to the city authority with polity available. It is necessary to evaluate the existence of population where it has gone distributed and also to note its crowd, the distribution of facilities and utilities, road nets, how to provided for the area, conducted it with a directly observation into field (collecting data, secondary and primary). In this case adopted a Ernest Griffin - Larry Ford consectoral theory and the concept of the city development of Medan Metropolitan (RUTR 1995/2005, and its RTRWK of 2016). The allotment of the land around Jl. Sunggal, Jl. Setia Budi, Jl. Pinang Baris - Jl. Kelambir Lima, Jl. Gagak Hitam, Jl. Amal, Jl. Gatot Subroto, Jl. Titi Papan, Jl. Pasar I - Jl. Abadi, as well as the allotment of the land for residence, for settlement, for agriculture purpose, and for business as house-stores, resulting in go mutation from central into suburb and got change the allotment of land as consequence. | dc.description.abstract | Kota Medan dalam percepatan pembangunan sedang melaksanakan pelebaran jalan di beberapa kecamatan. Bertujuan membantu mengalihkan arus kenderaan menerus melalui pusat kota sehingga mengurangi kemacetan volume lalu lintas dalam kota dan merangsang pertumbuhan daerah pinggiran kota. Dan pada lokasi penelitian Kec. Medan Sunggal telah terjadi perubahan peruntukan lahan termasuk pada kawasan pelebaran jalan. Dengan penelitian ini dapat diketahui apakah perubahan peruntukan lahan sesuai dengan arahan kebijaksanaan yang ada. Untuk itu perlu evaluasi penyebaran penduduk dan kepadatannya, penyebaran fasilitas dan utilitas, jaringan jalan, peruntukan lahan dengan observasi langsung ke lapangan (pengumpulan data sekunder dan primer), teori konsektoral (Ernest Griffin -Larry Ford) dan konsep perkembangan Kota Medan (RUTR 1995/2005 dan RTRWK 2016). Perubahan peruntukan lahan di Jl. Sunggal, Jl. Setia Budi, Jl. Pinang Baris - Jl. Kelambir Lima, Jl. Gagak Hitam, Jl. Amal, Jl. Gatot Subroto, Jl. Titi Papan, Jl. Pasar I - Jl. Abadi, dari peruntukan lahan pemukiman, perkampungan, pertanian, dan perusahaan menjadi rumah toko. Sehingga terjadi perpindahan penduduk dari pusat kota ke pinggiran kota akibatnya berubah peruntukan lahan. Namun berdasarkan RTRWK tahun 2016 perkembangan kegiatan perkotaan cenderung ke kawasan perumahan, perdagangan dan industri.
