    Pengaruh Aplikasi Probiotik terhadap Kualitas Air dan Pertumbuhan Udang Litopenaeus Vannamei

    Abstract
    A study on effect of probiotic on water quality and growth of shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei has been conducted. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of probiotic in improving water quality in shrimp farming and in the growth of Litopenaeus vannamei. Probiotic treatments were 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 g and control (no probiotic). Each treatment was repeated three times. Temperature, pH, bacterial cell, DO, ammonia and salinity, alkalinity, Vibrio were measured daily, while weight and survival rate of shrimp were measured the end of study. The result showed that probotic treatment of 0.3 g and 0.5 g increased the survival rate by 82.66% and 70.66%, while shrimp weight increased by 8.89 g and 7.71 g, sespectively.
     
    Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh aplikasi probiotik terhadap kualitas air dan pertumbuan udang Litopenaeus vannamei. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik dalam memperbaiki kualitas air dalam budidaya udang serta mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik teradap pertumbuan Litopenaeus vannamei. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan 4 perlakuan yaitu perlakuan probiotik 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 g serta tanpa pemberian probiotik (kontrol). Tiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Temperatur, pH, total bacteri, DO, ammonia, salinitas, alkalinitas dan Vibrio diukur setiap harinya. Sedangkan bobot dan sintasan hidup udang diukur pada akhir penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian probiotik 0.3 dan 0.5 g meningkat dengan sintasan hidup sebesar 82.66% dan 70.66%, sedangkan berat 8.89 g dan 7.71 g, selain itu menurunkan total vibro sebesar 510 sel/ml dan ammonia 0.015 mg/l.
