    Pembuatan dan Karakterisasi Papan Partikel dari Campuran Resin Polyester dan Serat Kulit Jagung

    Abstract
    Has done research Particle Board Preparation and Characterization of polyester resin mixed with Corn Fiber Leather. This study aims to determine the addition of corn husk as a matrix of polyester resin as the fastening of the physical and mechanical properties of the resulting particle board. From the results of research based on both physical and mechanical tests showed that charging corn husk combined with polyester resin with comparisons 30:70,40:60,50:50,60:40,70:30. Polyester Resins: Skin corn can qualify as a particle board according to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). Value of 0.63 to 0.94 gr/cm3 density, water content value from 0.221 to 12.403%, thickness 1.01 to 11.42% Value Development, flexural strength value of 91.73 to 340.61 kgf/cm2, strong Imfak 2 , 52 to 3.62 joule/cm2. Strong internal limping from 10.59 to 21.37 kgf/cm2. This sample can be recommended as particle board.
     
    Telah dilakukan penelitian Pembuatan dan Karakterisasi Papan Partikel campuran resin Poliester dengan Serat Kulit Jagung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penambahan kulit jagung sebagai matriks dalam resin polyester sebagai pengikatnya terhadap sifat fisis dan mekanik papan partikel yang dihasilkan. Dari hasil penelitian berdasarkan uji baik fisis maupun mekanik menunjukkan bahwa pengisian kulit jagung yang digabung dengan resin polyester dengan perbandingan-perbandingan 30:70,40:60,50:50,60:40,70:30. RP :KJ dapat memenuhi syarat sebagai papan partikel sesuai dengan Standart Nasional Indonesia (SNI). Nilai kerapatan 0,63-0,94 gr/cm3, Nilai Kadar air 0,221- 12,403%, Nilai Pengembangan tebal 1,01-11,42%, Nilai kuat lentur 91,73-340,61 kgf/cm2, kuat Imfak 2,52- 3,62 joule/cm2. Kuat rekat internal 10,59 – 21,37 kgf/cm2. Sampel ini dapat direkomendasikan sebagai papan partikel.
