This thesis is about context and cognition Knowledge Frames and Speech
Act Comprehension In Brigjen Katamso Senior High School Students the theory
that has been used in analysis the data is Teunvandijk. The data has been taken from
senior high school student of Brigjen Katamso Medan. foundations of pragmatic
theories. Beside the fact that the usual appropriateness conditions for speech acts,
which are give in “cognitive” terms, such as ‘S knows/believes/wants ... (that) p’,
require empirical investigation, a sound theory of pragmatics must also explain how
certain contexts understood as certain speech acts. Speech act comprehension is
base on rules and strategis for so-called ‘context analysis’, in which (epistemic)
frames play an important role in the analysis of social context, social frames, and
interaction type. The results show that the data conversations were constructed
primarily with assertives, followed by expressives and commisives. Effective,
verdictive, and quotation can not be found from the data. Tesis ini memuat konteks dan kognisi atau kerangka pengetahuan serta
pemahaman tindak tutur siswa/I SMA Brigjen Katamso. Teori yang digunakan pada
analisis data adalah teori Teunvandijk. Data di ambil dari tuturan siswa/I SMA
Brigjen Katamso. Berdasarkan kenyataan bahwa kondisi kesesuaian tindak tutur
biasa yang disebut dengan istilah ‘kognitif’ seperti ‘S mengetahui/percaya/ingin...
(bahwa) p’, memerlukan investigasi empiris dalam analisis konteks sosial, kerangka
sosial dan tipe intraksi. Pemahaman tindak tutur didasarkan pada peraturan-
peraturan dan strategi-strategi yang disebut ‘konteks analisis’, yang didalamnya
kerangka (epistemik) memainkan peranan penting dalam sebuah teori pragmatik
harus juga menjelaskan bagaimana konteks-konteks tertentu di mengerti sebagai
tindak tutur tertentu. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa data percakapan terbentuk dari
tindak tutur assertif, diikuti oleh ekspresif dan komisif, effektif, verdiktif dan tindak
tutur yang berbentuk kutipan tidak ditemukan dalam data
