Analisis Pengaruh Usahatani Tanaman Hias terhadap Pengembangan Wilayah di Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Decorative plant farming is a kind of the businesses which is lately mostly found especially in the area of Deli Serdang. These decorative plants become one of the commodities of agricutural sector which is prospective to be developed and with the existence of this decorative plant farming, the income of the farmers will increase in which this kind of farming is the livelihoods of the farmers to support the lives of the families. The purpose of this study was (1) to analyze the influence of decorative plant farming business (working capital, labor wage, seeds, fertilizers and pesticides) on tghe income of the farmers in Tanjung Morawa Subdistrict, Deli Serdang District, and (2) to analyze the impact of decorative plant farming business on the regional development in Tanjung Morawa Subdistrict, Deli Serdang District. This study on the analysis of the influence of decorative plant farming business on the regional development in Tanjung Morawa Subdistrict, Deli Serdang District was conducted in Desa Bangun Sari. Tanjung Morawa Subdistrict, Deli Serdang District. The samples (respondents) of this study were 60 selected from the 150 persons that became the population of this study. The data obtained were analyzed through multiple linear regression tests and descriptive analysis. The result of this study showed that (1) the result of multiple linear regression testsshowed that simultaneously the variables of working capital, labor wage, seeds, fertilizers and pesticides had significant influence on the income of the farmers. Partially, the variables of working capital and seeds had positive and significant influence on the income of the farmers, but the variables of labor wage and fertilizer had positive and insignificant influence on the income of the farmers. The variable with the most significant influence on the income of the farmers was working capital because its count value was bigger than that of the variables of labor wage, seeds, fertilizers and pesticides. (2) the decorative plant farming had positive impact on the regional development that can be seen from, first, it could hire or provide employment to 92 workers that it minimized the unemployment rate and poverty and will improve the welfare of decorative plant farmers, second, it could increase the income of decorative plant farmers through the marketing of their product. These decorative plants are not only marketed inside and outside local or regional areas but also exported overseas. This can be seen from the average income of Rp. 21.297.993.- gained by the farmers pergrowing season (6 months). The value of this revenue is quite big, and this big value will be able to push or generate the regional economy.

Usahatani tanaman hias merupakan jenis usahatani yang belakangan ini banyak ditemui, khususnya di daerah Deli Serdang. Tanaman hias ini menjadi salah satu komoditas sektor pertanian yang prospektif untuk dikembangkan dengan keberadaan usahatani tanaman hias ini akan menambah pendapatan petani, dimana usahatani ini sebagai mata pencaharian petani untuk menghidupi keluarganya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : (1) Menganalisis pengaruh usaha tanaman hias (modal kerja, upah tenaga kerja, bibit, pupuk dan pestisida) terhadap pendapatan petani di Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Kabupaten Deli Serdang. (2) Menganalisis dampak usahatani tanaman hias terhadap pengembangan wilayah di Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Kabupaten Deli Serdang dengan mengambil lokasi penelitian di Desa Bangun Sari Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa tentang Analisis Pengaruh Usahatani Tanaman Hias Terhadap Pengembangan Wilayah Di Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linier berganda dan analisis deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel responden 60 orang dari 150 orang jumlah populasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) hasil analisis regresi berganda dapat diketahui bahwa secara simultan variabel modal kerja, upah tenaga kerja, bibit, pupuk dan pestisida secara bersama-sama mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pendapatan petani. Secara parsial variabel modal dan bibit berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pendapatan petani, upah tenaga kerja dan pupuk berpengaruh positif tetapi tidak signifikan sedangkan pestisida berpengaruh negatif tetapi signifikan terhadap pendapatan petani. Variabel yang memiliki pengaruh yang paling signifikan terhadap pendapatan petani adalah variabel modal kerja karena nilai t-hitung variabel modal kerja lebih besar dari nilai t-hitung variabel upah tenaga kerja, bibit, pupuk dan pestisida. (2) Usahatani tanaman hias berdampak positif terhadap pengembangan wilayah, pertama dapat dilihat dari penyerapan tenaga kerja sebanyak 92 orang, sehingga dapat mengurangi tingkat pengangguran, kemiskinan dan akan meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani tanaman hias. Kedua dengan meningkatkan pendapatan petani tanaman hias yaitu melalui pemasaran hasil produksi. Pemasaran tanaman hias ini tidak hanya pada wilayah lokal dan luar daerah tetapi juga ada yang di ekspor. Hal ini dapat dilihat besarnya rata-rata pendapatan yang diperoleh petani per musim tanam (6 bulan) adalah sebesar Rp. 21.297.993,-. Nilai pendapatan ini cukup besar, dengan jumlah nilai tersebut akan mampu mendorong atau menggerakkan perekonomian daerah.
