D: The prognosis of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer is poor with a 5-year survival rate is only about 40% .Elevated absolute number of platelets and lymphocytes or lymphocytes platelet ratio (PRL) has been reported and investigated as a prognostic factor in epithelial ovarian cancer. Furthermore, patients with epithelial ovarian cancer with an increased number of inflammatory markers were found to have a poor prognosis OBJECTIVE: To determine the effect of platelet ratio of lymphocytes to disease-free survival of epithelial ovarian cancer METHODS: A retrospective cohort study by reviewed the medical records of epithelial ovarian cancer patients in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Adam Malik Medan General Hospital, who has been confirmed by histopathological since 2008-2013 and conducted monitoring of disease-free survival of patients for 1 year. This study was conducted from January to February 2015. RESULTS: The subjects of the study were mostly aged ≤50 years (70%), with stage III (67.9%), well differentiated (50%), had histopathology adeno Ca (44%) and with residual tumor <1 cm (75% ) with a recurrence rate is almost equal to the PRL group <200 and ≥200. There is no significant difference in one year disease-free survival rate based on the ratio of platelet lymphocytes. If analyzed by Cox proportional hazards regression, only age and differentiation of cells which have an impact on disease-free survival of epithelial ovarian cancer in 1 year. CONCLUSIONS: Platelet to lymphocytes ratio showed no significant association with 1 year disease-free survival rate of patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. High value of platelet to lymphocytes ratio did not show a bad prognosis in epithelial ovarian cancer.en_US
