    Hubungan Antara Dermatitis Kontak Nikel Dengan Kejadian Dermatitis Tangan pada Pekerja Salon di Kecamatan Medan Baru

    Abstract
    Background : Contact dermatitis is a process of inflammation on skin due to skin contact to certain substance. Salon workers are often exposed to skin-damaged ingredients. Some studies had represented the variety results of patch test applied to salon workers with contact dermatitis history. Objective : To reveal allergens that might role as causative agents of contact dermatitis in salon workers at Kecamatan Medan Baru. Methods : This was a cross-sectional analyses study involving 51 subjects with history of contact dermatitis. History taking by anamneses and dermatological examination were conducted to all subjects. They were all patch tested with standard 28 allergens from European Baseline Series. Patch test results were read after 48 and 72 hours based on International Contact Dermatitis Research Group (ICDRG). Results were presented descriptively. Results : The patch test results presented positive reaction to 18 allergens in salon workers, most of them are nickel sulphate in 21 subjects (41,2%), PPD in 7 subjects (13,7%), 2-Methoxy-6-n-pentyl-4-benzoquinone in 5 subjects (9,8%), benzocaine in 4 subjects (7,8%). Conclusion : The most allergens with positive reaction were nickel sulphate and PPD.
     
    Latar Belakang : Dermatitis kontak merupakan suatu proses inflamasi pada kulit yang disebabkan oleh kontak dengan bahan tertentu pada kulit. Pekerja salon merupakan individu yang sering mendapat paparan terhadap bahan-bahan yang dapat merusak kulit. Beberapa penelitian telah menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji tempel terhadap pekerja salon yang memiliki riwayat dermatitis kontak tampak bervariasi. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui alergen penyebab dermatitis kontak pada pekerja salon di Kecamatan Medan Baru. Subyek dan metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Lima puluh satu orang pekerja salon dengan riwayat dermatitis kontak diikutsertakan dalam penelitian ini. Terhadap subjek penelitian dilakukan anamnesis dan pemeriksaan dermatologis dan kemudian dilakukan uji tempel dengan 28 alergen standar dari European Baseline Series. Hasil uji tempel dibaca pada jam ke-48 dan 72 sesuai dengan International Contact Dermatitis Research Group (ICDRG). Hasil ditampilkan dalam bentuk tabel frekuensi dan diagram batang. Hasil : Pada penelitian ini diperoleh data pekerja salon positif terhadap 18 jenis alergen, yang terbanyak yaitu nikel sulfat sebanyak 21 orang (41,2%), PPD sebanyak 7 orang (13,7%), 2-Methoxy-6-n-pentyl-4-benzoquinone sebanyak 5 orang (9,8%), benzocaine sebanyak 4 orang (7,8%). Kesimpulan : Alergen terbanyak dengan reaksi positif pada penelitian ini adalah nikel dan PPD.
