Perubahan Ambang Dengar pada Penderita Otitis Media Supuratif Kronis Setelah Timpanoplasti

Abstract

Objective: The objective of the research was to find out the disparity in hearing threshold in pre and post tympanoplasty surgery in patients with chronic suppurative otitis media. Material and Method: Prospective observation was performed for patients who underwent tympanoplasty (n=21). Hearing threshold was evaluated by using pure tone eudiometry in the pre and 12 weeks of post tympanoplasty surgery (AC, BC, and the change in hearing threshold) in the frequency of 500Hz, IKHz, 2kHz, and 4kHz. Results: AC in the pre and post tympanoplasty indicated significant disparity in the frequency of 2kHz and 4kHz. Besides that, there was the disparity in the mean value of hearing threshold in the pre and post tympanoplasty in patients with CSOM. Conclusion: In the post tympanoplasty surgery, it was found that there was the improvement in AC in all frequencies with the mean value of improvement of hearing threshold of 0-5 dB. Nevertheless, further evaluation on the improvement of hearing threshold in the post tympanoplasty surgery in each type of tympanoplasty would be needed.

Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui perbedaan ambang dengar pre dan pasca operasi timpanoplasti pada pasien otitis media supuratif kronis. Metode: Pasien yang menjalani timpanoplasti (n=21) dilakukan observasi secara prospektif. Dilakukan penilaian ambang dengar dengan menggunakan audiometri nada murni pre dan 12 minggu pasca timpanoplasti (AC, BC dan perubahan ambang dengar) pada frekuensi 500Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz, dan 4kHz. Hasil: AC pre dan pasca timpanoplasti menunjukan perbedaan bermakna disemua frekuensi sedangkan BC pre dan pasca timpanoplasti hanya menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna difrekuensi 2kHz dan 4kHz. Selain itu dijumpai perbedaan rerata ambang dengar pre dan pasca timpanoplasti pada pasien otitis media supuratif kronis. Kesimpulan: Setelah timpanoplasti dijumpai perbaikan AC disemua frekuensi dengan rerata perbaikan ambang dengar 0-5 dB, meskipun demikian diperlukan evaluasi lebih lanjut mengenai perbaikan ambang dengar pasca timpanoplasti pada masing-masing tipe timpanoplasti.
