Analisis Distribusi Bandwidth Off-Time Kantor dengan Menggunakan Mikrotik dan Radius Server

Abstract

The Internet as one of the fastest growing information technology can provide data and information with extensive, complete and up to date. Users can download and upload data such as application files, multimedia and text through the Internet network. But for the availability of the Internet still lacks equality of access because of lack of availability of adequate infrastructure. Therefore the author makes the utilization of bandwidth that can be to actualize Equalization of the Internet although it is still on a small scale. The author uses bandwidth from PT. Deltauli Teknikarya Utama that where bandwidth is at a moment of time off-time unused, the Office where the Office always pay in full for Internet connection even though at the time of the off-time. At the time of the off-time much bandwidth available, so the writers try to utilize the bandwidth at the time of the off-time Office for use by the community using radio connection link and using the radius server as user management as well as server for sending sms as well as user and password to users who want to enjoy free internet connection.

Internet sebagai salah satu teknologi informasi berkembang sangat pesat dapat menyediakan data dan informasi dengan luas, lengkap, dan up-to-date. Pengguna dapat mendownload dan mengupload data seperti file aplikasi, multimedia dan teks melalui jaringan Internet. Tetapi untuk ketersediaan Internet masih kurang kesetaraan akses karena kurangnya ketersediaan infrastruktur yang memadai, oleh sebab itu penulis membuat pemanfaatan bandwidth yang dapat memuwujudkan pemerataan Internet meskipun masih pada skala kecil. Penulis menggunakan bandwidth dari PT. Deltauli Utama Teknikarya yang dimana bandwidthnya pada saat waktu off-time kantor tidak terpakai, yang dimana kantor selalu membayar penuh untuk koneksi Internet walaupun pada waktu off-time. Pada saat off-time banyak bandwidth yang tersedia, sehingga penulis mencoba memanfaatkan bandwith tersebut pada waktu offtime kantor untuk digunakan masyarakat dengan menggunakan link koneksi radio dan menggunakan server radius sebagai manajemen pengguna serta serta sms server untuk mengirim user dan password kepada user yang ingin menikmati koneksi internet gratis.
