    Studi Peningkatan Kapasitas Suplai Penyulang Studi Kasus di PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero) Kuala Tanjung

    Abstract
    Alumunium production at PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero) at this times is limited to 250.000 tons/year which the process depends on the supply of direct current. Direct current supply to reduction building no.3 at this time only 193 kA which are supplied from Main Transformer (MTR), On Load Voltage Regulator (LVR) and Rectiformer. Power factor for MTR is 0,99 lagging, meanwhile the current out of LVR has reached its rating 3.180 A. From KANNAK assessment on the pot reduction conclude that the pot equipment can be operated with current supplied 255 kA. The effort can be done by increasing the MTR supply capacity become 230 MVA, additional LVR and rectifier with current supplied 45 kA and improve power factor LVR from 0,88 become at least 0,95 lagging and current supply minimum 210 kA. In the study, the capacity of MTR is calculated, additional capacity of LVR and rectifier, capacitor bank capacity, load flow analysis, harmonic distortion, and system condition when the equipment is connected. Analysis result shows that the direct current that can be supplied is 255 kA. Harmonic distortion can be reduced by capacitor bank with harmonic distortion become 0,008-0,13% from the existing 0,09-0,91%. From the economic view, the increasing supply capacity is feasible to be implemented with Net Present Value > 0, Internal Rate Of Return (47,30%) > weighted average cost of capital (8,38%) and Pay Back Period for 2,1 years. The increasing direct current from 193 kA become 255 kA increase alumunium production ± 27.652 ton/year.
     
    Produksi aluminium PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero) saat ini terbatas pada desain awal yaitu 250.000 ton/tahun yang secara proses bergantung pada suplai arus listrik DC. Suplai arus listrik DC ke tungku reduksi gedung no.3 saat ini hanya 193 kA yang secara sistem disuplai dari transformator utama (Main Transformer,MTR), transformator regulator tegangan berbeban (On Load Voltage Regulator,LVR) dan transformator penyearah (Rectiformer). Faktor daya MTR 0,99 lagging, sedangkan arus pada LVR telah mencapai ratingnya 3.180 A. Hasil kajian KANNAK menyimpulkan peralatan tungku reduksi mampu beroperasi dengan arus 255 kA. Upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan meningkatkan kapasitas suplai MTR menjadi 230 MVA, penambahan LVR dan rectifier dengan suplai arus sebesar 45 kA dan memperbaiki faktor daya LVR dari 0,88 menjadi minimum 0,95 lagging dengan arus minimum 210 kA. Dalam penelitian ditentukan ukuran kapasitas MTR, kapasitas tambahan LVR dan rectifier, ukuran kapasitor bank, analisis aliran daya, distorsi harmonik dan kondisi sistem pada saat peralatan-peralatan tersebut terhubung ke sistem. Hasil analisis menunjukan arus searah yang disuplai dapat mencapai 255 kA. Sedangkan distorsi harmonik dapat diredam dengan kapasitor bank yang dipasang dengan besaran distorsi harmoniknya menjadi 0,008-0,13% dari sebelumnya 0,09- 0,91%. Dari sisi keekonomian, peningkatan kapasitas suplai ini layak untuk dilaksanakan dengan Net Present Value > 0, Internal Rate Of Return (47,30%) > ratarata tertimbang biaya modal (8,38%) dan masa pengembalian modal (Pay Back Period) selama 2,1 tahun. Peningkatan arus searah dari 193 kA menjadi 255 kA dapat meningkatkan produksi aluminium sebesar ± 27.652 ton/tahun.
