    Pengurangan Waste pada Proses Produsi Tepung Tapioka dengan Metode Lean Six Sigma di PT. Sumatera Telaga Tapioka

    Abstract
    PT. Sumatera Telaga Tapioka merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam pengolahan Tepung Tapioka. Pada proses produksi terdapat waste yang dialami oleh perusahaan yaitu adanya devective product dan delay. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi waste pada proses produksi. Permasalahan ini menyebabkan perusahaan tidak dapat menggunakan waktu produksi secara efisien. Permasalahan ini diselesaikan dengan dengan metode Lean Six Sigma untuk mengidentifikasi waste dan mengetahui urutan proses perbaikan dalam peningkatan kualitas produk dan kecepatan proses. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dan pengukuran di PT Sumatera Telaga Tapioka, Adanya waste delay pada aktivitas menunggu pengangkutan milk ke stasiun pemarutan yang menyebabkan adanya antrian solusi perbaikannya yaitu dengan menambah jumlah mesin pemarutan sehingga tidak ada delay lagi, aktivitas yang tidak bernilai tambah (non value added) adalah sebesar 11,80 menit dengan nilai manufacturing lead time adalah sebesar 277,04 menit Tingkat proses cycle efficiency sebesar 76,78% dan proses velocity sebesar 0,0384 proses/jam. Peningkatan nilai process Cycle Eficiency sebesar 80,20% menunjukkan kemampuan perusahaan untuk memproduksi produk dapat dilihat dari rata rata produksi perhari perusahaan, dimana sebelum dilakukan perbaikan total produksi perusahaan perhari sebesar 352 bag/hari. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan maka rata rata produksi perhari meningkat menjadi 366 bag/ hari. Sehingga didapatkan peningkatan jumlah produk perhari mencapai 14 bag/hari. Untuk usulan perbaikan waste pada devective product yaitu dengan Fishbone dengan mengeliminasi cacat produk yang persentase kumulatif dibawah yaitu kadar air, kadar serat dan kadar abu adapun usulan perbaikan dengan penerapan SOP (Standar Operasional Prosedur) sebagai solusi perbaikan waste dari devective product (kecacatan produk).
     
    PT. Sumatra Telaga Tapioca is a company engaged in the processing of Tapioca Flour. In the production process there is a waste experienced by the company, namely the presence of a destructive product and delay. The purpose of this research is to identify waste in the production process. This problem causes the company to not be able to use production time efficiently. This problem is solved by using the Lean Six Sigma method to identify waste and determine the order of the improvement process in improving product quality and process speed. Based on the results of observations and measurements at PT Sumatra Telaga Tapioka, there is a waste delay in the activity of waiting for the transportation of milk to the grating station which causes a queue for the solution, the improvement is to increase the number of grating machines so that there is no more delay, activities that are not value added (non value added). is 11.80 minutes with the value of manufacturing lead time is 277.04 minutes. The process rate of cycle efficiency is 76.78% and the process velocity is 0.0384 processes/hour. The increase in the value of the process cycle efficiency of 80.20% shows the company's ability to produce products, which can be seen from the company's average daily production, where before the company's total production per day was improved it was 352 bags/day. After improvement, the average daily production increased to 366 bags/day. So that we get an increase in the number of products per day reaching 14 bags / day. For the proposed improvement of waste on a destructive product, namely Fishbone by eliminating product defects namely water content,fiber content, ash content as for the proposed improvement by implementing SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) as a solution to repair waste from a (defective product).
